"Fran give us back Bleu Plat," sabi ni Jake pagka-approach nya sa table kung saan nakaupo si Fran.

Pumayag si Fran na makipagkita kay Jake. She let us know through a reply sa text na sinend ni Jake sa kanya. We met her in a coffee shop.

Tinapik ko agad si Jake in disbelief. Akala ko pa naman he'll seduce her or use his power of convincing on her pero diniretso nya agad! Pa'no papayag nyan ngayon si Fran? This is going to be harder than I thought.

"Bleu Plat is not yours to begin with," irap ni Fran. "Is that how you greet me ex?"

Wow... He was never your ex.

Sumalampak ako sa upuan sa tabi ni Fran. I looked at her. What happened to the sweet, perky Fran I met before all this? We were not that close, but we worked together and we shared work triumphs before. We were simple working girls before we were weaved into the mess we're in.

Napatingin ako kay Jake na nagpipigil ng galit making angry sounds. Daig nya pa ang bride kung maka-panic regarding sa venue. Letdown si Babe. Akala ko pa naman magiging creative sya sa pag-convince kay Fran.

I'm going to take matters into my own hands. I'll go traditional. She's not that bad of a bitch to be that difficult. "Fran, we're here to ask you. We have already put the name of the venue in our wedding invitations. And our wedding suppliers have planned everything according to Bleu Plat's layout. Would it be possible for us to have the date back?" I asked. Sana mag-work through some form of a miracle.

"This is so interesting. The power couple asking me for a favor," sabi at tingin ni Fran sa'min.

Napaupo si Jake sa harap nya katabi ko pero hindi sya humarap kay Fran. May inis syang nakaharap sa kabilang side.

"I thought we're here to have coffee Jake," sabi ni Fran kay Jake. Bumaling sya sa'kin, "Sa totoo lang Aileen, I thought he'd beg me. Kaya ako pumunta kasi I wanna see how Jake would beg me. Entertainment ko man lang na makita syang nagmamakaawa pagkatapos nya 'kong gamitin."

Napabuntung-hininga ako. Yes, she's being a bitch pero ginamit sya ni Jake noon at pinaasa kahit minahal nya si Jake. How could I argue with someone's neglected feelings?

"You've got me. What do you want me to do now?" Jake huffed. He looked at me defeated.

"Ask me nicely. But anyways, I think that would be impossible after the way you greeted me. Anything would be insincere after that," sabi nya habang nagtatanggal ng dumi sa kuko. Bumaling sya sa'kin. "How's the bride-to-be?"

We're not here for a chat though. "Surviving," sagot ko na lang agad pero umapila rin, "Please Fran, it would mean so much if you could just let us have that date and time."

"Aileen I was asking you how're you, future Mrs. Estanislao, because of the kind of family they have," tumingin si Fran kay Jake. "You didn't know who gave me your venue? It's Tito Kevin."

"What're you saying?" tanong ni Jake narrowing his gaze, focusing on Fran intently. "Anong kinalaman ni Daddy dito?"

"I think your in-laws will be running the show Aileen, kahit mag-asawa na kayo. I was actually surprised when Tito Kevin just gave me the venue without even telling you guys. Can you believe that? More importantly, can you fathom that?" patuloy ni Fran sa'kin.

"What?" naguguluhan kong tanong looking at Jake. "What is she saying Babe? I don't understand. Why would your Dad take our wedding reception venue and give it to someone else?"

What Fran said sparked something in Jake; he was realizing something and was becoming angrier and angrier by the minute. "What are you saying Fran?!" Jake demanded.
