THEY WALKED IN SILENCE, NEITHER DARING TO break the silence that loomed over them. natalia frankly didn't have anything to say, her jaw clenched with both anger and annoyance. she'd been sent home like a child, sent away when she could've helped. her nose was scrunched up, her boots kicking at the ground as she walked, not bothering to pick her feet up completely. she'd done the right thing, she knew she had. by killing carter she'd stopped the dead from going off course, and she'd put the man out of his misery. a bite in the face sounded brutal, he was suffering, so she stopped his suffering.

she wondered what her mother would of said, how she would've looked at the teen if she'd seen what she had done. natalia was sure it would be something that revealed fear, terror as she stared at the girl she could hardly recognize. if her mother was looking down to her it would be with nothing other then disbelief, unable to comprehend her daughter had turned into something so dangerous, so horrifying. someone who killed a man without thinking twice, someone who threatened people, natalia was a different person then she had once been.

she changed more and more everyday. she was cold, and icy cold that no one in their right minds would dare to step to. even those in alexandria were wary of her, she hadn't done anything to outright make them wary, but they were. the way she held herself, how she spoke, she was nothing less then a girl who was prepared to go to war for what she believed was right. she'd seen, she'd experienced more then anyone could ever imagine, and it had molded her into a walking time bomb. one who didn't have mercy for anyone, it was a scary thing, truly it was. being outside of the walls, it brought something out in her. a wild, and untamed part of her.

natalia was brutal, and she would prove it time and time again. "i get it." morgan suddenly spoke, glancing to the girl who didn't even spare him a glance. focused on getting home, her chin held high and her teeth gnawing on the inside of her cheek. she knew her mother would be disappointed, unable to look at the child she'd raised to be entirely different then she was. "you don't." natalia responded after a beat of silence, shaking her head at the man who looked to her before back to the road ahead of them. she pursed her lips, shaking her head at the man, a humorless breath of a laugh leaving her lips. "you say you do, but you don't." natalia added, glancing to him out of the corner of her eye, a small shrug coming from the grimes girl.

"i seen how you looked at me. disgusted, confused, it wasn't hard to see it." natalia softly spoke, shrugging her shoulders. not a care in the world for how he'd looked at her, she did what she did, she couldn't take it back, so she wouldn't. she suddenly stopped, looking to morgan who stopped a few feet ahead of her. "do you hear that?" she suddenly questioned, her brows furrowing as they both went deathly quiet, listening to the sound of a loud airhorn echoing in the air. his face fell, though natalia's hardened, her hands pulling her gun free. "that's back home." she concluded, looking in the direction of alexandria before breaking off in a sprint, morgan following behind the white haired girl who moved quicker then he'd expected.
