It was a restless night for Eva. She woke up so many times that she couldn't even count. She missed her bed at Hogwarts.
Eva had woken up for the last time, she gave up. She didn't know if it were still night or day. The cellar remained dark and cold. She could see, but not much. It was dimly lit by a couple lanterns.
She sat up, looking around, trying to find something to help pass the time, but there was nothing down there.
She sat there for a long while. Studying the cell she was in, seeing if maybe there were an escape.
The cellar door opens and she stands up immediately. Her body were very tense, but it loosened when she saw it were only Draco again.
"How was your sleep?" He asked her.
"Horrible." She spat.
Malfoy frowned. The two teenagers met each other at the cell door. Looking at one another through the bars. "Is it true, Eva? That you're a...Horcrux?"
She sighed, "Yeah."
Draco furrowed his brows, "The Dark Lord wants to keep you in here until he knows he can trust you."
"Trust me?"
"Yeah. What you said really got to him. He doesn't want you dead anymore knowing that your life is crucial for his immortality." He explained.
"Fuck. I'm supposed to die though. If I don't, Voldemort won't."
"There aren't many options, Eva." Draco takes a rusty key out of his pocket and unlocks the cell door to step inside. "Do you want to die?"
She felt slightly intimidated by him, but tried to hide it. She thought about the question for the moment, wanting to be truthful. A tear fell down her cheek as her voice cracked, "No."
Draco stares at her for a moment, debating on what he should do. They're friends, right? That's what Eva said they are. What would a friend do?
He gently puts his hand on her back and pulls her into his chest, hugging her.
Eva could sense the awkwardness of the hug from him, but she appreciated his effort.
He eventually adjusted and got comfortable in the hug, "You don't have to. You can join the death eaters."
She pulled away from him.
