KUROSE AND THEO, two high-ranking members of the midnight pirates, have been going through around three gambling houses throughout grove 0 - 29, but no rayleigh in sight. they could feel that his haki is still around the archipelago but can't pinpoint where exactly.
they decided to go to sabaody park to see if the old man was there, but before they could leave where they stood, a chorus of shouts could be heard from afar. they eyed each other and walked towards the commotion.
seeing that a celestial dragon was the center of attention, they didn't move forward, away from the celestial dragon's sight. they did not want to be kneeling before that.
just as that bubble head incased celestial dragon was about to shoot the green haired guy, the latter unsheathe his sword, aiming to hit the snotty celestial dragon. unfortunately, a pink haired kid stopped him.
"woah, that was a close one. wish he got a slice," kurose dejectedly sighed as the celestial dragon finally left the scene.
theo hummed, "was that guy. . . zoro?"
"zoro? who's that?" a bump now grew at the vice- captain's head, "ah right, the pirate hunter turned pirate!" theo's hit suddenly made him remember.
"the straw hats are already here, huh?" theo beamed.
kurose pointed at the crowd before them, "it's not just the strawhats, you know. look some of those are rookie capains who has more over 100,000,000 beli on their head. "
"well better not get caught up by those, let's go."
"what?!" the two males exclaimed after getting some information from someone who had been gambling with rayleigh.
"yeah, he's at the human auction house. he said that he will steal some money from the person who will buy him or whatever. he lost his money so yeah."
that's damned old man!!
so here are they now, sitting inside the upper edge of the auction house, hiding from knowing eyes. they sighed at each other, disappointed. earlier they said they wanted no trouble, but three supernovas are here, two from the kid pirates and one from the heart pirates.
"i'm so going to have a hit that rayleigh after this." kurose huffed facepalming. "i can't stand being inside this place." he groaned.
"so do i," theo agreed, watching the exchanged between eustass kid and trafalgar law, with law giving him the middle finger.
kurose eyed the polar bear that was holding law's sword. hmm.. [name] would love to see that bear.. he thought.
with wide eyes, the two paused, feeling a small surge of haki behind the auction house.
"there he is."
"bingo."
"well, then, everyone, we apologize for keeping you waiting!!" then came a voice through the speakers, the auction has started.
kurose leaned back, while theo crossed his legs and rested his jaw on his palm. they watched as disco auctioned one person, then another,r like some kind of item.
suddenly the doors of the auction house opened, it revealed the strawhats.
"theo, those are?"
"yeah, it's them. why are they here though? looks like their captain is not here either." kurose only hummed at theo's answer not caring, looking back at the stage.
after a pirate captain chose to bite off his tongue rather than being a slave, another one came up after their little panic on stage, "our special item!!" revealing a mermaid.
"500 million beli!! i'll pay 500 million!!!" yelled the newly arrived celestial dragon who was almost hit by zoro earlier.
"hmm look, theo. it looks like the mermaid is the strawhat's friend." theo turned to look at their devastated faces. 500 million is not something that could just be acquired by a pirate, especially by rookies like them.
theo sighed, "rayleigh please show up, i don't want to be here anymore." he said to no one in particular, burying his head in his palms. if you were here inside this auction, you would have bought everyone, you never wanted anyone to be bought to slavery.
just then, the doors of the auction house crashed open by no one rather than monkey d. luffy, the captain of the strawhats himself.
"aaaahh!!!! it's a fishman!!! how disgusting!!"
discrimination was not new in world, there has always been a difference between humans and fishmen. may it be because humans always felt they were superior to the other race.
bang! the sound of a gun echoed throughout the auction house, hatchan has been shot by the stupid looking celestial dragon.
kurose was hiding the lower half of his face behind his hands, he was so close to losing it at this point. theo was no better, they were both glaring from the side.
having enough, kurose stood up, but theo stopped him. luffy beat them to it; he has already punched the celestial dragon.
"sorry, you guys. i heard that if you hit one of these guy, a marine admiral's gonna show up with battleships in two."
kurose cursed, "guess we'll have to change the ship's location."
here are strawhats once again, wrecking havoc anywhere they go. the two males smiled, i pirate has no rules after all.
the commoners have run outside the auction house, far away from the battle. only the celestial dragons were left, the guards and some spectators.
a burst of haki made the celestial dragon who was about to shoot camie pass out.
then came out the guy himself, silvers rayleigh, laughing out loud. "i was planning on stealing some money from whoever bought me too, if i was lucky. i mean just take a look at me, i'm just an old man now, who would want me as a slave?! wahahahaha!"
recognizing hachi, he greeted the octopus. seeing the octopus' injuries mostly got him angry. he unleashed a surge of haki throughout the auction house, those who could handle that amount of spiritual power passed out cold. in kurose's opinion, he only released just as much as a normal person could tolerate.
"that strawhat certainly suits a fearless an like yourself. i've been waiting for you monkey d. luffy!" he announced.
"this is..." your dearest was loitering at the crow's nest when the newscoo gave her another batch of newspaper. "uh thanks. . ." she thanked the seagul and gave it some coins.
with a brow raised she asked herself, "didn't they just gave one this morning, and another one in the afternoon. must be big news."
she jumped down to the deck, resulting to the other to come to her, "what's the news?" she shrugged. you were still inside your quarters and probably will not come out for a while.
flipping on the first page, the world suddenly stopped. it was quiet for a few minutes as they read through the pages.
"listen, everyone. no one show this news to captain, not until those two aren't back yet." she commanded, this was serious news.
