you have received news from dragon that robin will be travelling back to sabaody archipelago to finally meet up with her crew.

you looked up from your notes, turning towards the open window. someone was coming close to the invisible barrier. someone familiar.
it was karasu and sabo. you allowed them to enter the island as you waited in your quarters.
not a few minutes later, a knock was heard from the other side of your door. "revolutionary sabo and karasu are here, captain,"
just last year, you promised sabo that you'll bring him to ace's grave when he's finally ready. and that day has come.
speaking of not making public appearances, you only left once in a while to have a breath of the salty air of the seas, but you never really sailed it out of the new world anymore. it was boring staying in one place, but you thought of it as a long-term vacation, since you probably will not have any of those if the world starts to crumble down.
"how was your travel to here?" you asked the two inviting them to sit down by the coffee table
"it was alright," karasu replied nonchalantly as he sat down.
sabo, on the other hand, was frowning, standing still before you. you raise a brow, asking him what's wrong, he doesn't reply. he walked in a circle with you in the middle, observing your figure as you just stood there, confused.
after doing a 360 on you, he was now back in front of you. his eyes softening as he pulled you into a hug.
you hugged back. after a year, he finally gets to see you. when sabo read the news about you, it felt like ace's death all over again for him, an event that he wasn't able to stop. it broke him. dragon, koala, and the rest of the revolutionaries were worried about their chief of staff.
even though he was still working hard in the field, there were days when he was completely absent-minded. when dragon spoke to him that you were alive, he then spoke to you through the den den mushi.
for the younger male, it felt as if his soul had finally came back to him. and finally seeing you made him happy.
the hug lasted for a few minutes, karasu just staring at the younger male, not that he minded, he was also happy that you were alive and well. sabo only let you go when theo arrived with snacks and drinks for the two of them, and for you as well.
