WHILE ROBIN AND KING NEPTUNE HAD THEIR TALK WITH ANCIENT HISTORY, jinbei and the rest of strawhats sat on top of a staircase to talk privately as well.
"what?! akainu and aokiji had a big fight?" luffy exclaimed with a mouth full of meat after hearing jinbei's words.
luffy was in full shock as such news never got to him, he was basically isolated in those two years. the only news he received was your death, but that's all that was. rayleigh never told him any more details, so it slipped off his mind.
jinbei then proceeded to explain more about what happened to the two former admirals of the marines.
that fight between those two lasted for ten days, and it permanently altered a certain island's landscape. the next news the world received was that sakazuki, or commonly known as akainu has become the fleet admiral of the navy.
"listen up, all of you. remember the two gigantic changes that have occurred in the new world in the past two years." everyone stayed quiet as they listened to jinbei next words.
"first is that the marine headquarters has become even stronger army of justice, led by fleet admirak sakazuki. the other is the onslaught of the blackbeard pirates."
"he was a senior member of the whitebeard pirates. he was well acquainted with oyaji's turf. after oyaji died he conquered those waters in the blink of an eye."

"that i don't know-" he was cut off by luffy.
"no, she's alive!" he held out the vivre card that was hidden in his straw hat.
"wooah, you still have it, luffy?!" chopper commented looking the piece of paper. "you didn't lose it, that's surprising." says nami.
"yeah, i kept it safe!" the vivre card was clean, no sign of burning, it was back to its original form. that meant the person was alive and well.
jinbei smiled as he eyed the vivre card, he caught a glimpse of the initials written on the paper; it was hers, alright. the newspapers had not yet reached fishman island, that's why he had no idea.
truth be told, luffy has already forgotten [name]'s face. the young captain only remembered her name. even though she was there when saving ace, he had no clear memory of her case, it was all blurry.
"i'm glad to hear that she's alive. but then again due to the news a year ago. [name] lost the opportunity to have the title as yonkou. blackbeard now has this position alongside akagami, kaidou, and big mom."
