KABANATA 63

3RD PERSON's POV

“Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!”

She feels sick for no clear reason.

She couldn't understand why.

Why was her heart aching?

Why was it throbbing for that man?

At the very least, let these feelings make sense! Why would she feel this way for him? For a mere Sorian...for someone she would eventually have to ELIMINATE.

“Hah! I should’ve just killed that man from the start…”

Maybe then, she wouldn’t feel this miserable. Maybe if she hadn’t saved him back then, she wouldn’t be caught in this mess doubting her feelings, doubting herself.

For the first time, she saw it trembling. The same hand that had taken countless lives without a trace of regret was now shaking.

All because it had harmed him.

It wasn’t even a serious wound, he wouldn’t die from it. So why? Why was she feeling this way?

She never even blinked when she killed someone. So why was she acting like this, just because she hurt him, and only slightly?

When she saw him get hurt because of her, fear gripped her chest kaya siya tumakbo.

She didn’t want to admit it, but she was worried when her fireball grazed his arm.

At those moments, she feared two things. First, she was afraid that if she stayed any longer, she might hurt him even more. Second, she feared that if she stayed, she'll give in to him.

She was afraid that if she kept hearing that warm voice, feeling his gaze, his touch, even his words, they might make her forget who she truly was.

She, who feared no one, was actually scared. Scared of this warmth, dahil natatakot siya na baka kapag nagpatuloy pa 'to ay hindi niya na talaga tuluyang makilala ang sarili niya.

“N-No…”

“I-i can’t keep being like this. I’m a Morian. I’m meant to hate them. Meant to eliminate them.”

“Right...”

“Don’t forget your mission, Yuora. The MISSION to KILL them.” Sambit niya as her eyes grow cold before she started to walk back to her dorm like nothing had happened.

Because she knew that she couldn’t forget who she was—the princess of Morian.
