in utero

42 6 12

you're so bleak
don't want to speak,
to you I am so weak, so weak.
you're the blood I carry to my own grave,
through you my tears they cut like razorblades.
entangled we were, like the braids I wear,
too bonded, too tense, my origin is you
and so with your bittersweet embrace
you stole me from the blue.

the sky is my home (and I didn't want to go) -
yet I was born in utero.
