Chapter 47

"So you're all filled in?" Romilda asked as Mary and I returned to the table. "Yeah, It's strange. I keep looking around the room for her" I confess to Mary and Romilda. "I know what you mean" Jack said from next to me. "I was with McGonagall earlier this afternoon. When did this happen again?" I asked still unable to believe that what we were talking about was actually true.

"Owen came running in here and told us only a little before you got here" Colin explained and I nodded looking back towards Shannon and Katy. "Has anybody spoken to them?" I asked gesturing down to the two girls who were sitting close together with their heads down.

"Vicky tried" Romilda said before shrugging. "But they wouldn't say anything" She added looking thoughtful. "Why don't you give it a go?" Romilda asked and I gave her a look of disbelief. "If they wouldn't talk to Vicky what makes you think they will talk to me?" I asked and Romilda just shrugged.

"It's worth a shot" Romilda replied before resuming her dinner. I did the same and listened to the conversation around me not really knowing whether to believe it or not. "Snape, Hagrid, McGonagall and Dumbledore are all not here" Colin remarked and I looked to the teachers table to verify what he had said.

It was true, only a handful of professors including Sprout and Babbling were seated at the head table and they looked tense. "Maybe we should stop talking about it. At least until we know more" I suggested and Mary nodded. "Just, nobody go anywhere alone" Mary suggested and I nodded.

"I'm going to head to the common room" Romilda said standing followed by Mary, Jack and Colin. "You coming?" Mary asked and I shook my head turning to check if Blaise was still at dinner which he was. "I want to go talk to Blaise" I informed them and Mary nodded. "Do you want me to wait?" She asked and I shook my head.

"Thanks, but I'll just make Blaise walk me up" I informed Mary who nodded leaving with everyone else. Quickly I finished my food before standing and heading over to Blaise. He was sitting with Daphne, Pansy and Theodore. Draco wasn't there and I was pretty grateful for that. I still hadn't really spoken to him since our kiss became public knowledge.

"Hi" I said sliding in when Pansy moved down to make room for me. "Hey" Blaise greeted surprised. "Was not expecting to see you" He admitted and I nodded shrugging my shoulders. "Well I spoke to Harry, It only seemed fair I spoke to you too" I said before remembering what Harry and I had spoken about.

"Actually" I said before Blaise could speak. "You, Harry and I need to have like a family meeting" I added and Theodore laughed. "Family meeting" he teased and I laughed "Yeah" I answered easily. "If you've already spoken to Harry, what do you need to speak with him about again?" Pansy asked curiously.

"Yeah" Blaise piped up "If you've already spoken about everything with Potter..." Blaise trailed off and I suddenly felt embarrassed. "Ummm" I started biting my lip not really wanting to talk about this with Daphne, Pansy and Theodore here. "Harry and I only really talked about one thing" I admitted and Daphne giggled probably guessing what it was. "The same thing we talked about earlier?" Daphne asked and I glared at her before nodding yes.

"And that would be?" Blaise asked and I just shrugged looking around. "Well anyways I have so much work to do from Herbology and History of magic today" I said standing while Blaise glared, not happy with me not answering the question, though i did hear him mutter something about not missing class...

"Umm I'm pretty sure Hufflepuff has the pitch booked tomorrow night so maybe you, Harry and I could have this family meeting then?" I asked ignoring Blaise's comment. Blaise nodded "Alright" he agreed before saying goodnight.

It wasn't until I was making my way up the stairs that I remembered what I had told Mary about having Blaise walk me up to the common room. I shrugged it off though, the castle was the safest place and besides; we didn't even know if it was true.
