Chapter 34

"Okay before we walk out I want to make a small adjustment to the formation" Harry said from the locker room and I groaned, he had cornered me last night and informed me that we would be practicing at 6am. "What change?" Demelza asked. "I want Sarah at front" Harry said and I frowned "Why me?" I asked "Flint has started putting Blasie at front for when Flint won't be here next year and I'm hoping Blaise will go easy on you" Harry said and I scoffed.

"Blaise won't go easy on me" I said annoyed at what Harry had insinuated. "Well either way you're up front" Harry said before walking towards the exit out onto the pitch. "You okay with that Ginny?" I asked after a moment of silence.

"Harry's captain" Ginny said shrugging before we grabbed our brooms and followed him out onto the pitch. "One more thing" Harry said before we headed out. "What" I asked as he had directed that comment to me. "Don't be nice to them, don't even wave hello" Harry said and I sighed in frustration. "Fine" I said angry and Harry finally led us out.

The screaming of everybody hit me immediately as well as the Slytherin team coming out from their locker room. Draco in his uniform caught my attention and Ginny laughed at me telling me to stop checking him out. I blushed and took off into the air to do the lap around the pitch ending in the middle above Madam Hooch.

"Well, well, well" Flint said to me and I noticed he had taken front position instead of Blaise. I sent Harry a look asking what to do and he shook his head telling me to stay where I was, so much for Harry's plan. "This should be fun" Flint said darkly and I was worried he would be taking his anger out on me for Draco and Blaise ratting him out.

"In a game of Quidditch, things can happen. Your brother won't be able to protect you then will he" Flint said quietly for only me to hear and I gulped a little afraid of what the 7th year Slytherin had in-store for me.

"There will be no repeats of last time" Madam Hooch said from down below where I was hovering over her. "Once again, a nice clean game. From all of you!" she said before Releasing the Quaffle into the air. I swooped for it and grabbed a hold before Flint could reach it and tossed it to Ginny.

The quaffle was stolen and a while was spend chasing after the quaffle trying to get it back. Harry and Draco were bother hovering higher up looking for the Snitch and the beaters were fighting for control. Our job was to get the quaffle and throw it through one of the hoops, I only hoped McLaggen could defend our hoops.

I swooped from above when Flint tossed the quaffle to Blaise and grabbed it chucking it to Demelza who managed to get it past the Slytherin keeper and into one of the hoops scoring the first points for the game.

Flint sped past me to the hoops and I fell for a fake pass and he made it past me scoring a goal for the Slytherin team. McLaggen was yelling and swearing but I ignored him while I dodged some bludgers that had been aimed right at me. It seemed that since Flint was captain Blaise and Draco's influence was minimised when it came to Quidditch.

A while was spent stealing and losing the Quaffle and Demelza ended up being knocked down by a bludger leaving only me and Ginny to fight for the Quaffle that McLaggen was having difficulty defending against.

After Slytherin scoring yet another goal I grabbed the quaffle and sped off towards the Slytherin hoops when Flint and Stevens rammed into me from both sides making it impossible for me to steer. "Get off" I yelled at them as we were flying straight towards the Slytherin stands.

I tried going down and up but they were right next to me forcing me forwards. Flint took advantage of my distraction and grabbed the quaffle from my hands and flying off allowing me to turn sharply to the left to avoid the stands only to have a bludger zip past my head way too close for comfort.
