Chapter 6

Turns out there wasn't a whole lot to do on a Friday night, Ginny, Hermione and I went out to an empty corridor where they helped me revise my charms work. Seems even if Hermione didn't like me much she liked Harry enough to help me practice.

"Now just remember speaking clearly at the right time is equally as important as the wrist movements, you don't want to get a letter wrong" Hermione was telling me and we practised the charms.

"Now try it again but this time..." Hermione was cut off by the arrival of a bunch of Slytherin's. "Well, well well if it isn't three little Gryffindor's out and about in a deserted corridor" Draco drawled out smugly.

"What are you doing here Malfoy?" Hermione spat and I looked on intrigued, this could be interesting. Draco, Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe, Goyle and Daphne were leaning up against the wall.

"We just wanted to have a quick word with Sarah is all" Crabbe said defensively and Draco gave him a look that told him to shut up.

"Well you will have to come back another time we are busy" Hermione said annoyed. "Well actually" I said and I was shot murderous looks from Hermione and Ginny.

"Ginny you were saying you were starting to feel a little sick, maybe having somebody knew to practise on would be a good thing" I said looking back towards the group of Slytherin's.

"Practice on?" Pansy asked to which Ginny answered. "Sarah is taking her Charm's O.W.L's on Monday, she is taking four O.W.L's next week and we are helping her practice her spells" Ginny spoke with Less venom than Hermione but she was still on guard.

"Okay" Crabbe said shocking everybody "What?" Draco asked him and I laughed "You volunteer to have me perform spells on you?" I asked shocked. "Yeah than if you get good enough marks you could help me in Charm's, I only got a Pass on my O.W.L's and I need to go good on my N.E.W.T's" he explained and I shrugged.

"Okay Crabbe, you let me practice some spells on you and I'll help you study" I told him. "Why wouldn't you ask me for help?" Daphne asked and the boy just shrugged.

"Okay Crabbe, step on up" I smiled and Ginny went to stand by Hermione. "Okay now during your exam the Professor may ask you to perform any spell you have learned so far, lets practise the most basic, and the very first charm you ever learned" Hermione said in a posh no it all voice.

I was happy to have her as my teacher but honestly she was beginning to drive me insane. "You want me to use the hover charm on Crabbe?" I asked shocked. The group of Slytherin's were snickering amongst themselves and I suddenly felt self-conscious.

"Of course, imagine the strength you will have if you can hover Crabbe in the air" Hermione chatted excitedly from her spot with Ginny leaning against the wall opposite the Slytherin students. "Now just remember he is heavier than Ginny so you will need to use more force when holding him" Hermione said in her I know everything voice.

I couldn't help but to roll my eyes at Daphne who giggled behind her hand. "Ready Crabbe?" I asked and he replied "Ready" I faintly heard Hermione muttering to 'swish and flick' "Wingardium Leviosa" I performed the charm and Crabbe slowly lifted off the ground. "Ah" he cried lightly as he floated in the air his arms flying everywhere. "Keep him hovering, keep him hovering" Hermione was muttering.

I had Crabbe float higher till he was almost to the ceiling. "Ah it's so high" he cried "Come on Crabbe, I won't drop you" I yelled up to him as I moved my wand to bring him back down. He landed on the ground nicely.

"Woo a floating Crabbe now that's impressive" Draco drawled out. "You think you can do better?" I asked a little stuck up. "You won't be passing with 'Outstanding' marks if your spending all your time focussing on spell's learned in first year" he told me simply.
