It was so incredibly inconvenient for most of the bruises on my face had almost healed enough to be covered completely by concealer and foundation only to have a brand new cut and bruise on my chin courtesy of my literal slip up yesterday during our obstacle course day.

"Why does this keep happening to me?" I groaned as I tried applying as much makeup as I could to try to reduce some the visible damage in preparation for the game. "Would it make you feel any better if I gave that boxing telescope of yours another go?" Ginny asked with a grin from her spot next to me where she was tying her hair into a low ponytail rushing to get to breakfast.

We had both crashed out completely yesterday evening after showering and getting back to our rooms – we didn't even stop for dinner! Romilda had woken the both of us up earlier on her way down to breakfast with strict instructions to have warm showers before doing anything else to try to warm up our muscles, Which is why Ginny and I were in the bathroom at the moment.

"What do you think the chances are that McGonagall will let us play today?" Ginny asked and I shrugged my shoulders as I started setting my foundation and concealer with powder. "Unknown" I said glancing at Ginny in the mirror. "She seemed pretty mad at us but hopefully since we have done every training session she has told us too AND won in her bets against Professor Snape she will let us play" I said thinking back to the very long very tiring past few days we had had.

"Hopefully" Ginny agreed thoughtfully sounding unconvinced. "Hopefully after the game though all these training sessions let up" She added leaning against the counter waiting for me to finish my makeup.

"Since we don't have another game for a while I worry that these training sessions will only increase" I said slightly distracted whilst applying my mascara. "I just hope we can do without the Slytherin team" Ginny groaned and I laughed a little before agreeing with her.

"Talk about awkward" I added finally finishing up and putting all my stuff away. "When do you think you'll sort stuff out with Malfoy and Zabini?" Ginny asked as we began leaving the bathroom. "I don't even know" I admitted feeling gloomy. "I don't think Draco wants to sort it out but I'll get to Blaise eventually; I am still angry over the whole memory thing so...."I trailed off with a shrug.

"You seem to be getting along better with Harry though" Ginny commented and I nodded thinking back to yesterday in particular and how well Harry and I got along during McGonagall and Snape's obstacle course of doom.

"I think I was just having way too much fun to even both being mad at him" I admitted having to walk behind Ginny on the stairs as a group of giggling girls came running past us. "Maybe it's time I let that one go huh?" I questioned with a laugh and Ginny shrugged.

"Only if you're ready, if any of my brothers did what they did, they would find themselves on the receiving end of a nasty bat bogey hex" Ginny said seriously making me giggle. "Maybe I should just set you on the two of them and call it a day" I joked with a laugh.

"I am at your service" Ginny joked with a bow before slipping and almost falling backwards down the stairs. Her eyes went wide and her face pale as she waved her arms around frantically. "HEY" I yelped grabbing her arm tightly stopping her from falling before helping her straighten up as Ginny's face didn't lose the shocked look that had overcome it when she almost fell.

"Maybe we should save the shenanigans for after we get to breakfast" Ginny said sounding like she was still in shock. "I think that's a good idea...you good?" I asked still keeping a death grip on her arm. "Yeah..." Ginny said slowly. "That was close" She added sounding more back to normal before we finally started walking again. "Thanks by the way" She added and I grinned "No worries" I said to her with a smile.
