"Sarah" Ginny exclaimed running through the trees and throwing her arms around me. "What happened?" She asked pulling back and looking me over worriedly. Hagrid was with her and so was Professor McGonagall. "I'm sorry: I gasped out feeling tears again.

"I'm sorry" I repeated as Ginny pulled me into another hug as Jimmy and the two professors watched. "I'm so sorry" I repeated clutching onto Ginny tightly as my tears started to fall.

I could hear Jimmy filling in professor's Hagrid and McGonagall on what he had witnessed and what I had told him while Hagrid stroked the Thestral who had been following behind us – 'Tenebus' Hagrid called the creature and I smiled through my tears.

"I wasn't even thinking" I admitted softly to Ginny who was making soothing shooshing sounds. "It used her sister to trick her" Jimmy finished saying and Professor McGonagall sighed. "Apparently Miss Wollis went running into the trees shouting after her deceased pet" McGonagall muttered sadly.

"It appears we now know for sure what happened to her" McGonagall added before putting her hand on my shoulder. "You my dear are one very lucky girl" She told me gently before ushering us to the castle.

"I'd suggest getting yourself cleaned up" McGonagall suggested as we made our way through the trees. "It is only a short while before lunch and those cuts could easily become infected" McGonagall added worriedly looking me over. Exactly how many cuts did I have?

Tenebrus; The Thestral who saved me left us at the entrance to the forbidden forest and McGonagall lead us all the Dumbledore's office. First I had to explain everything that happened down to the finest detail. Jimmy also had to as he had seen the vampire as well.

With some kind words and a small hug from Dumbledore Ginny, Jimmy and I left with only about twenty minutes left of class time. As we were leaving I heard Hagrid declare that he would make some more rounds through the forest and consult with the Centaurs.

I was holding Ginny's hand and Jimmy had an arm around my shoulder as we started heading up to the common room. I started laughing at the squeaking sound my shoes were making. "I can't wait to get these shoes and socks off" I told Ginny and Jimmy who laughed. "It feels disgusting" I added trying to land my feet different ways to reduce the squeaking before giving up and walking normally.

"I can't believe a vampire is stalking Hogwarts" Ginny said after a moment and Jimmy and I both nodded in agreement. "At least we know it can't get to us inside the grounds" Jimmy said and I took a moment to think. "I wouldn't be so sure" I replied softly. "How far do you think it can project that creepy mist?" I asked and felt Ginny shiver besides me.

"I don't know" Jimmy admitted. "I swear I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I couldn't find you" Jimmy said breathing out and ruffling my hair. "Zabini is going to kill me when he finds out" he added and Ginny laughed.

"That'll be sooner than you think too" She said sympathetically. "When Hagrid yelled at everyone to go to the library Peter and Roy went off in search of Blaise" Ginny said in the same sympathetic voice causing Jimmy to groan, I had wondered what had happened to the class.

"It's not your fault Jimmy" I said as we continued to climb the seemingly never ending stairs; at least they were empty since most students were in class. "It's mine" I added softly. "I was the stupid person who took off without any thought" I added feeling stupider and stupider by the minute.

"Anybody could have fallen for it" Ginny tried reassuring me but it didn't help. "Yeah but I should have known better" I said frustrated with myself. "I mean; Casey's dead and I know she is dead" I said sniffling. "And Mary even said last night that Shannon and Katy had heard Ellie calling out her dead dogs name" I added angrily. "I should have realised" I said with a shake of my head to stop my tears from falling.
