The Other Potter

Chapter 9

I past Ginny and Dean who on my way back, they were heading down to breakfast laughing about Ritchie who apparently was still in the same position he had been in when I left him this earlier. I reached the common room and laughed a little at Ritchie.

I grabbed a nearby cushion and threw it at his head laughing when he shot up and glared at me. "What was that for, what are you doing in my room?" he asked dazed and I laughed telling him to take a look around. "Oh no, I crashed out down here. Did anyone see me asleep?" he asked worried.

"Only the entire Gryffindor house" I joked and he groaned. "You seen Jimmy?" he asked and I shook my head. "Not since last night, I was actually hoping to catch Neville" I told him and he looked around. "I'll have a look upstairs" he told me before he got of the lounge and stretched before making his way up to the boy's dorms.

I sat down in a chair and waited for Ritchie to come back. Jimmy appeared not long later "You might want to come upstairs, Neville's having a panic attack" he said seriously and I jumped from my chair and followed Jimmy up to Neville's room.

"Neville what's wrong?" I asked as I saw him throwing things out of his trunk. "I've nothing to wear, I look dopey in everything I try on, Leanne's expecting me soon and I'm a mess" Neville shouted "I don't know why she even agreed to go out with me in the first place, probably out of pity I supposed" Neville kept rambling so I quickly slipped out of the room and ran up to the girls dorm's praying Hermione hadn't left for breakfast yet.

I made it to her room and found Hermione and Parvati talking. "Hermione, Parvati, do you mind coming with me? I need some help with Neville" I explained to them and they quickly followed me up to Neville. Hermione and I managed to calm Neville down while Parvati found him an outfit to wear and the boys gave him helpful dating advice of things not to do, they even shared some funny stories of blunders they had made in the past.

Hermione and Parvati walked Neville to the Hufflepuff common room where he would be meeting Leanne and I rushed with Ritchie and Jimmy down to the kitchen's to pick up the picnic basket and set up an area for Neville outside.

I thanked Dobby as he handed the basket to Ritchie to hold and even conjured some blankets to go along with it. One Gryffindor and one Hufflepuff. I grabbed the blankets and ran outside towards the lake.

Jimmy led the way since I still didn't know exactly where I was going and we set up a nice area under some trees with a good view of the frozen lake. We hurried in setting up the picnic area and had to dive away when we saw Neville and Leanne come out side.

"Quick move" I shoved the boys away as we ran up the snowy hill towards a cover of trees so Leanne wouldn't see us. We needed to wait until she was seated to sneak back to the castle. Jimmy cast a quick spell to cover our foot prints so she didn't see them.

"Good thinking" I said to him, why hadn't I thought to do that.

"Wow Neville it's amazing" Leanne complimented as she sat down and we made our great escape. I was pleased I had helped Neville; it really was a fantastic idea. I went with Jimmy and Ritchie to the great hall since they hadn't had breakfast.

Blaise, Draco and Theodore were still there watching Crabbe and Goyle play wizard's chess; they weren't going for either of them just shouting out when either of them took a piece. I laughed and turned in my seat to watch between Hestia and Flora, Harry and Ron had left thank god.

Ritchie and Jimmy ended up chatting with the twins and after a while I went back to the common room for an afternoon nap.

I had my nightmare again, the same one as every other night. Casey would appear somewhere usually in the soccer field, sometimes by the beach, sometimes we were on our way home from school. It would always end the same, the werewolf dropping her dead body to the ground and leaping for me, I would see the eyes of the death eater before I would rush up in my bed awake and terrified.
