Chapter 12

I stared at the person in the room and they looked back at me. There was no mistaking her tall figure, her blonde hair, her brown eyes and the huge smile she was wearing. "Hello Sarah" she giggled and I launched myself at her.

We stumbled a bit and but eventually regained our footing. We stood there with our arms around each other for a long time, both crying and squealing and being glad we were together.

I finally pulled away from my best friend and asked the one thing I wanted to know more than anything else. "What are you doing here?" she smiled and pointed to two boys sitting in chairs watching me "I'm their birthday gift to you" she giggled and I turned to see who was there.

Blaise and Draco were lounging in their seats smirking at us. "Happy Birthday" they both said and I rolled my eyes. "My birthday was on Wednesday" I told them and they smirked wider.

"Yes but on Wednesday you had class and a transfiguration O.W.L the next day, you couldn't exactly follow through with all your little traditions then could you" Draco said smugly and I stared at the boys. "How did you know?" I asked and Blaise answered me.

"Flora told us, and we approached the headmaster and he brought her in" he told me and I turned towards Dumbledore. "Thank you" I said to him as I started to tear up again. "Miss William's will be returning home after the Quidditch match tomorrow, she will be sleeping in your dorm with you Mrs Peterson. I advise you make the most of your time together, lots of tradition's to get through" I told us and we made to leave. "Do watch out for Filtch will you, he always is out to get children after hours" Dumbledore said to us before closing the door to his office.

"Did he just give us permission to break to rules?" I asked shocked once we were out in the corridor, they just shrugged. "Well I suppose we better get to Breakfast" Blaise said to Draco and he agreed. "Hey" I called out stopping them from leaving.

"Thank you" I said with a smile, I couldn't actually look Draco in the face yet but after what he had done I promised myself I would make an effort. "Are we going to breakfast too?" Laura asked me and I turned and gave her another hug.

"I can't believe you're here" I squealed and then I led her to the great hall for breakfast. It wasn't until nine that everybody had finally come down to breakfast and had met Laura. Ginny and Laura got along right away.

Laura was explaining to everybody the list of things we had to do today including receiving my 'royal' outfit. "Come on its time to begin our festivities, who wants to play? Laura asked looking around.

"Play what?" everyone asked and Laura smirked "A scavenger hunt of course, Usually the girl's above us set it out for us but I asked Dumbledore when I arrived and he has it all sorted" Laura explained happily and I smiled.

"How do we play?" Ron asked and Laura smiled. "Well we get into teams of four and we start off with a clue, which will lead us to a place where we will find another clue. Keep following the clues and eventually you will come to the treasure, if you can't figure out an answer to a riddle you can use books and even ask other students, but don't make that a habit. It's not as fun if you ask for the answer every time" Laura explained and I smiled as I recalled the scavenger hunt a few months earlier when Laura had turned sixteen.

"Who picks the groups" Harry asked and Laura turned to look at him. "We do, pick who you want to work with, now who wants to play?" she asked and most of my friends put up their hands.

"Be on my team?" I asked Luna and Ginny who nodded enthusiastically "okay we will be team Rose" Laura said and waited for the next team. "We are a team" Harry said pointing to himself, Ron, Hermione and Lavender. "Team Orchid" Laura informed them, writing their names down on the piece of paper she had with her. "And us" Jimmy said pointing to himself, Ritchie, Flora and Hestia. "Team Daffodil" Laura informed them.
