Chapter 27

~The Next Day~

"So you and Ritchie?" Draco asked while I was sitting at breakfast. He was sitting behind me and had leaned back in his chair to talk to me and I almost jumped out of my seat since I didn't know he was behind me.

"What?" I asked confused and Draco scoffed "Don't play dumb, it's obvious to everyone" he stated and I turned to look at him. "What exactly is obvious to everyone?" I asked annoyed at what he was insinuating. "The fact that we are friends?" I said bitchily and Draco scoffed.

"If that's what you want to call it" Draco said angrily and I rolled my eyes. "I'm not dating Ritchie, and even if I were I fail to see how it's any of your business" I snapped turning in my seat to face my food. Draco grabbed my upper arm and started dragging me out of the great hall.

I let him do it, no use blowing up about it in front of everybody and causing yet another scene in the great hall. "What is your problem?" I asked after Draco pulled me out of the great hall and down an empty corridor without releasing his vice grip on my arm.

"I could ask you the same thing" he snapped back angrily and his anger made me angry. "Right now the only problem I have is you" I snapped ripping my arm from his grip, it was probably going to bruise just like my forearm.

"Oh so now I'm a problem? I help you out, do you a favor and I'm a problem?" Draco yelled back angrily and I was actually starting to feel scared. "I said thank you for what you did the other night. It meant a lot that you guys did that and I figured everything was back to normal between us and then I turn around and your acting like this" I exclaimed and Draco scoffed.

"The only reason we weren't talking is because you were being a bitch" Draco snapped and I withdrew like a had been slapped. "A bitch?" I questioned "Well if I'm such a bitch why did you drag me out here? Just to yell at me or what?" I asked bitchily.

"Maybe to inform you that the way you're throwing yourself all over Coote is making you look easy. Maybe you shouldn't be acting so much like a slut so soon" Draco said and a slap filled the air as my hand connected with his face.

He grabbed hold of my hand and I stood there stunned, I hadn't meant to do that. "You Suck" I said angrily while a few tears dripped down my face before pulling my hand free and stomping away.

I heard Draco call my name but I kept walking all the way into the girls bathroom where I waited until it was time for class.

I handed in my homework to Snape and spent the lesson reading through the chapters in our books. Jimmy had gone to sit with Flora so I was sitting with Ritchie and Ginny. The class was quiet the entire lesson with nobody daring to speak with Snape in such a bad mood about god knows what.

I walked with Ritchie to History of magic while Ginny chatted to Demelza. We were asked questions and the first team to answer the question correctly would get the point. In the end we lost but only by a few points and I had remembered three of the answers myself so I was pretty happy.

Ginny ran off to Dean during lunch and Jimmy disappeared with Flora so I sat with Ritchie again. "Where could he have gone now, geez all day it's been the same thing, I can't even talk to the guy because he's always with Flora" Ritchie complained and I patted his arm "It'll get better" I said and he shrugged. "Sure it will" he said disbelievingly.

"I thought I'd go to the library next class and get a start on this essay for Snape, you want me to start yours of for you?" I asked in an effort to cheer Ritchie up "Hmm" was my only response. "Yeah, I'll take that as a yes" I said out loud to myself and laughed when Ritchie mumbled again.

I felt eyes on me and turned to see who it was before my brain could stop me. Draco and Blaise had apparently gotten into a fight during one of their classes this morning and were sitting on opposite sides of their group of friends.
