Chapter 13

I took a deep breath and greeted them "Hey guys, how are you?" I asked as they came to stand in front of me. "Good, what are you doing?" Blaise asked with an amused tone. "Oh nothing much, just on a scavenger hunt of sorts" I informed them and waited for a response.

"One of your little traditions" Draco said, it wasn't a question, more a statement. "Yeah so anyways, we have this clue and in order for us to get our next clue we need your help" I told them and gave my best puppy dog eyes.

"You need our help, you know this would be the second time I've helped you out" Draco said as he leant against the wall and crossed his arms looking smug. "Well you actually we only need the help of one of you, it doesn't have to be you" I snapped a little and immediately regretted it.

Draco just smirked though "But you know you'd prefer it if I helped you" he said smugly and I couldn't help but laugh. "That's some ego you have Draco" I smirked back at him and he smirked right back. "Tell me I'm wrong, tell me you don't want me to help you" he smirked and I was about to reply when Ginny yelled from behind.

"Can you please stop flirting and get your mind back on task, we need to get into your common room" I laughed at Ginny's outburst, flirting with Draco YEAH RIGHT.

"You're joking right?" Blaise questioned and I shook my head. "Please" I had my puppy dog eyes back on. "No way, the Slytherin common room is for Slytherin's" Blaise said with a frown. "Oh come on, we have to get in there, if we don't we will never get our next clue" Laura shrieked at them.

"You two are the ones that brought me here because you wanted Sarah to be able to have the birthday that she deserves and because you wanted her to be able to participate in all our traditions, well this is one of our traditions and if you don't help us out it'll be all for nothing and it will be all your fault that the first time we ever don't finish is on her birthday" Laura scolded and Draco rolled his eyes.

"Fine, but the weasel stays outside" he said with a look in Ginny's direction and she scoffed "Oh yeah cause I really wanted to go into your common room" she mumbled under her breath but we heard her anyway.

Laura chatted with Blaise the whole way down to the dungeons and I walked with Draco. "So once you have finished this little game what's next?" he asked as we descended the stairs. "Lunch I suppose, and then we will get ready for tonight" I told him absentmindedly.

"And what's tonight?" He asked and I looked at him. "I thought Flora told you" I said keeping eye contact. "She didn't give me exact details, just told me that you had this whole thing planned out for you and there were traditions that you shouldn't miss out on. Plus she also thought having your best friend around might make it a little easier for you to have some fun" he told me and I looked at him curiously.

"Why did you do it?" I asked and he looked at me strangely "I just told you" he said like I was stupid. "No you told me what Flora told you, why did you and Blaise go to the effort of going to the headmaster and getting her here, why do you care if I'm having fun or not?" I questioned determined to finally get some answers.

"Why can't you just thank me and leave it at that?" he counted and I sighed frustrated, so much for getting answers. "We will play dog dare" I informed him after a few seconds of silence. I elaborated when he gave me a strange look.

"It's a game, there is a spell you place on a hat or bowel or something and it gives out dares. If you fail to complete a dare that the word Dog will appear on you head, its small and if you complete a dare in the second round you can work it off, if you fail to complete more than one dare in a row the letters get bigger. For every completed dare you get points and if you have to be a participant in another person's dare you get points for that too. It goes for three rounds, everybody does three dares, if you have enough points on your last dare you can trade your points in and drink an entire bottle of alcohol instead. The only way to have enough points is to have participated in other people's dares as well as your own. Sometimes if the dare is too extreme and everybody agrees that it's too dangerous or humiliating you can ask for a redo and you will get a new dare. It's really fun, you should play" I told him smiling, by now we had made it to the Slytherin common room and Blaise had stepped forward to whisper the password without us hearing it.
