Chapter 51

"Madam Pince says that all the professors are out putting up wards and that we are to stay here until they are finished" Hermione informed us as she sat back down from getting an update. "Everyone else was either instructed to stay in their classrooms or were walked to their common rooms" Hermione added and I groaned.

"Why couldn't we have gone to the common room?" I asked shifting uncomfortably in my chair. Geez I really wanted to lie down. I couldn't even make use of being stuck in the library by doing homework since I didn't have any with me I thought to myself as Harry quickly had a short burst of white light shoot from his wand and circle around Hermione.

"Had to make sure" Harry told Hermione who nodded with a smile "I'd be mad if you didn't" Hermione responded and I sat shocked - somebody seriously needed to teach me how to conjure a Patronus charm ASAP.

Blaise, Draco, Harry, Ron, Hermione and I had sat together in one of the hidden corners once we had reached the library. Draco on one end, Blaise next to him and myself next to Blaise with Ron across from me, Hermione next to Ron and Harry next to Hermione across from Draco; something neither of them seemed very happy about, they looked ready to kill each other and we had only been here for about ten minutes.

"It would be much more comfortable" Hermione agreed also moving about to get comfortable in her chair. "Well since we are stuck here might as well take advantage of our situation" Blaise said folding his hands on the desk and looking serious - uh oh! This wouldn't be good.

"I agree" Harry said with a nod "Time for a little family meeting" Harry added getting serious too. "Fun" I said unenthusiastically. "I'm thinking less of a family meeting and more of a group meeting" Blaise said shooting looks to Draco, Ron and Hermione. "Oh Goodie" I added sarcastically and Blaise shot me a warning look.

"Well where would you like to start?" I asked "How about with whatever possessed you to start snogging Malfoy" Ron piped up and I tensed up in shock - SERIOSULY!! "Shut up Weasel" Draco snapped defensively glaring at Ron. "Get on Ferret" Ron replied while Hermione giggled, Harry rolled his eyes, Blaise rubbed his forehead in frustration and I turned as red as a tomato.

"How about we stick to the more important topics" I blurted out completely embarrassed and unable to look in Draco's direction. For goodness sake Draco and I hadn't even spoken about it yet! I sure as hell wasn't about to discuss it with Ron, Hermione and my two brothers present.

"I don't know; this is pretty important" Hermione giggled so I kicked her under the desk - HARD! "Ouch" Hermione muttered jumping and moving her legs back and glaring at me; I glared back. "I think Potter and I can agree on retaining that for an actual family meeting" Blaise drawled out in a bored tone and Harry nodded tersely while I fidgeted in my seat.

"Let's start with the most pressing issue" Blaise said getting serious again "Vampire?" He asked looking at me and I groaned "Can't we work up to that one?" I asked not really wanting to dive straight into the deep end.

"How about starting with Demelza and McLaggen" Harry suggested and I sighed out a breath of relief. "Maybe we can start with your idiotic idea to add him to your quidditch team" Draco sneered causing Harry to glare at him. "Right moving on" I jumped in quickly choosing to ignore Draco's snide comment and hoping Harry and Ron would do the same. Could we not have ONE civilised conversation?

"So Demelza and McLaggen?" Hermione asked in an attempt to get the conversation moving again. "That all started the morning after the game" I told them all making sure to not make eye contact with Draco. "Ginny and I were at breakfast and overheard Romilda talking about Demelza being locked in one of the bathrooms" I continued frowning at the memory. Blaise and Draco already knew most things but Harry, Ron and Hermione didn't. I knew that Demelza didn't really want everybody to know but I just couldn't shake the feeling that they deserved to know.
