Chapter 22

*the next morning* - Flash forward

"Ginny" Ron ran to Ginny and nearly crashed into her since he was running so fast, most of the teachers were out here trying to fight the fire but water seemed to be having no effect. Some of the sixth year students were racing towards us as well, as were the seventh years.

I looked to my friends, Ginny, Luna, Colin, Andrew, Ritchie....Jimmy? "Jimmy" I shouted looking around coughing and feeling dizzy "Jimmy I shouted again and suddenly Goyle was at my side "What happened he asked as a coughing fit from the smoke shook my whole body. "Jimmy, I think he's still inside" I said distressed and still coughing.

Goyle took off before I had a chance to stop him, all I could do was watch as the roof creaked and some debris caved in "Jimmy" I shouted again before another coughing fit seized me. "Sarah" Ritchie yelled coming and falling beside me.

"I think Jimmy's inside, Goyle went in after him" I said as a massive coughing fit hit me and I couldn't stop. Ritchie began patting me on the back but it wasn't helping "SARAH" I heard a shout in the distance but I couldn't stop coughing long enough to check who had yelled out.

I looked up when some teachers started yelling and saw Goyle emerge with Jimmy unconscious in his arms "Jimmy" I coughed out getting to my feet and running to him with Ritchie. Madam Pomfrey rushed over and pushed Ritchie and I out of the way.

"Nurse Wainscott, tend to these two immediately" Madam Pomfrey shouted to a nurse as she finished up with another student 'Romilda' "What happened" Blaise suddenly appeared at my side with Draco and Crabbe, Crabbe went off to see Goyle who was being tended to by a different nurse.

"Step aside, quickly" Nurse Wainscott appeared and ushered Draco and Blaise back "What plants were you near when the fire broke out?" She asked quickly to Ritchie and I. I couldn't stop coughing long enough to answer.

"I was near the exit, I didn't get much smoke, but Sarah was at the back, with Luna" he answered for me. "Luna Lovegood?" She confirmed which Ritchie nodded in confirmation, he wasn't coughing at all and I couldn't stop.

"It's going to be alright, just got a bad dose of burning Wincehostle leaves, this should stop your coughing dear" Nurse Wainscott said giving me a mouthful of liquid and forcing it down my throat, I nearly choked on it since I was still coughing so much.

It wasn't instant but I found I could actually breathe again between fits and slowly it became a non-constant thing. Nurse Wainscott was asking Ritchie questions, 'have I coughed up blood, how long I was in the building for, how long I'd been coughing'

"You are going to have a very sore throat, you were in there for a while and you would have inhaled any number of plant fumes so if you feel anything different, headache, dizziness, sudden drowsiness you come straight to the hospital wing" the nurse told me before walking off the a nearby student throwing up in the snow.

Goyle had been given the okay and he and Crabbe had now joined us "What happened?" Draco asked angrily as Blaise was pulling me into a hug. "Romilda set the place on fire" Ritchie answered angrily and I turned on Goyle "Jimmy?" I asked afraid of the answer.

"Madam Pomfrey went with him to the hospital wing, said he would be alright but would need an overnight stay" Goyle told me and I started crying slightly and hugged Ritchie. "Goyle saved his life" Crabbe said and I smiled "Thank you so much" I said to Goyle still hugging Ritchie.

"HEY" I heard Ron shout as he and Harry ran over to us leaving Hermione and Dean with Ginny. "Get away from her" Ron shouted to the Slytherin boys and Blaise turned angrily. "Don't tell me what to do Weasley, if I want to see my sister I'll see my sister" he said threateningly.
