Chapter 26

~The Next Day~

"Sarah...Sarah" I was shaken awake and found Neville standing over me "If you don't get up you're going to be late to class" Neville told me and I jumped up noticing I only had about ten minutes to get ready, serves me right for studying hidden in the corner where nobody could see me.

"Oh My God" I shrieked as I flew out of the chair "I brought you some toast, I only realized you weren't at breakfast a little while ago, I'll put it here see you in class" Neville said as I started up the stairs "Thank you Neville" I yelled back slamming my way into my room and throwing on my uniform.

I didn't have much time so I only put on some concealer and mascara throwing my hair up in the messiest ponytale the world had ever seen before rushing to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Eating my toast on the way.

I was late to potions and walked quickly to my seat after apologizing to the professor. "You look like hell" Ron commented for the whole class to see and a few people laughed. "Shut it Ron" I snapped and stood by my cauldron and turning to the correct page in my book.

I spent the rest of the lesson trying my hardest not to fall asleep and I completely ruined my potion when I added the wrong ingredients and caused the entire thing to blow up.

A few people snickered around me and Professor Slughorn seemed a little disappointed at my mistake, I cleaned up my mess and then had to spend the rest of the lesson writing down exactly what I had done wrong during the potion making process.

I wrote quickly and then placed my head on my book just wanting to rest my eyes for a moment. "Sarah" Hermione shook me awake just before class ended "You alright?" she asked and I nodded drowsily "Yeah, fine".

I yawned as I stood from my seat and walked out with Hermione "Ginny said you didn't get to bed last night" Hermione noted and I nodded "Yeah, homework" I answered. "If Harry is working you too hard with Quidditch I can talk to him for you" Hermione said kindly and I shook my head "He is working Jimmy and Ritchie just as hard, I can handle it" I told her and she frowned.

"Jimmy and Ritchie aren't taking sixth year classes" Hermione said sternly and I yawned "It's all good Hermione, Promise" I said as we went our separate ways.

I slumped into Herbology and took my place beside Luna resting my head on the table. I was just drifting off to sleep when Professor Sprout came rushing into the room declaring there would be a change of partners.

I jumped when she entered and looked around groggily, a change of partners? CRAP! "Your partners will be as followed" Professor Sprout said before she started reading out names, it seemed she was pairing us with people in our own house.

"Sarah Peterson" Professor Sprout said and my head popped up to look at her "Ritchie Peakes" she read and I sighed in relief, thank god she hadn't said Romilda!. "Please get into your new pairs and we will begin planting the plants behind you into the pots in front of you, once you have panted one put it along the back wall underneath the nametag that matches you plant" Sprout said dismissing us to begin the long chore of re-planting every plant that had been destroyed.

"Long night last night?" Ritchie asked as we grabbed hold of our baby Fire Seed Bushes and correctly planted them. "Yeah, though that is probably the understatement of the century" I joked covering the plant and flattening the top with my gloved hand, pulling it back when the heat from the plant began to come through.

"These are hot even for babies" I commented to Ritchie as he grabbed our Pot and took it to the wall while I prepared out next pot. "Malfoy seemed pretty chatty with you yesterday, I didn't think you two were on speaking terms" Ritchie commented and I laughed. "Yeah well he did turn in Flint for me" I said and Ritchie shrugged ""Yep he sure did" he said slyly and I sighed knowing where this conversation was headed.
