Chapter 25

~Later~

I was in the library with Crabbe and Daphne until lunchtime, Daphne was actually the one most helping Crabbe while I worked on my essay for Snape. I could see how much Crabbe liked Daphne and I had a feeling she liked him too.

It was cute how embarrassed Crabbe got when he couldn't do something and I watched as Daphne would be so sweet when helping Crabbe to understand. I wondered if that was how it looked to Ritchie and Jimmy when I was around Draco...I mean Malfoy.

During lunch Ritchie and Jimmy were so busy telling me about their morning with the twins they didn't even try starting up the conversation from that morning and I was so glad about that. Ginny and Demelza were eating with us too.

Quidditch practice was fun, Harry was a bit over the top and sometime came across like it was more important to win than to have fun, maybe to him it was.

Currently I was sitting at Dinner with Ginny discussing practice. "I really can't wait until we play Ravenclaw, with Jimmy and Ritchie as our new Beaters there is no way we could lose" Ginny said excitedly and I happily agreed.

"Good evening ladies" Professor McGonagall said as she approached us. "Evening" "Hi" were our responses an she smiled. "Professor Snape and I just had a conversation with both Mr Malfoy and Mr Zabini, it seems they managed to track down who gave you those terrible bruises on your arm" Professor McGonagall said and I looked at her stunned.

"They did?" I asked a little disbelievingly "Yes, Mr Flint has been reprimanded for his actions and you won't have to worry about him bothering you any more" she told me and before walking away leaving me stunned.

"Malfoy sold out Flint?" Ginny whispered to me in shock "that's what McGonagall said" I said lifting my head to the Slytherin table to check for Malfoy. He was sitting with his usual friends laughing about something.

"Still don't believe what we told you this morning?" Ritchie asked from across the table with a smirk. I smiled and went back to eating my dinner not even bothering to reply.

The next few days went by really fast. Monday morning I was up before the sun for Quidditch drills with Harry, Jimmy and Ritchie. Being the new kids on the team harry was working us harder than everybody else.

I got through Potions fairly well, Harry helped us to make the potion's we were making turn out properly and Slughorn seemed happy that I was doing so well.

Defense against the dark arts with Snape wasn't as fun, after handing in our Essays on resisting the Impirius curse we spent the lesson on Non-verbal magic while Snape marked our work reading our unsatisfactory marks to the class.

I didn't get a chance to talk to Blaise or Draco Monday since Harry met me outside my classroom and had me do Quidditch drills for the rest of the day, I didn't even make it to dinner I was so tired.

Tuesday morning I rushed to McGonagall's office before breakfast to discuss dropping Divination as a subject, with the sixth level classes I was doing it was just too hard to manage.

She seemed to approve of me dropping the subject to focus on the more important aspects of magic, her words not mine!

We then spent our lesson with Snape being informed about the Cruciatus Curse and were given a set on fifty questions to have answered by next lesson.

Charms was more fun, we handed in our essays and spent the lesson doing revision in preparation for next lesson when we would be allowed to practice the charm as long as we received good marks on our essays.

History of magic was boring and after handing in the homework we had been given we received more And were asked to come to class prepared for a challenge game. Apparently we would be asked questions and whichever house answered the most questions correctly would win twenty house points.
