The Other Potter

Chapter 66

"Mum?" I asked in disbelief before I was being dragged into a most warm, secure, loving hug of my life. A hug I had needed these past few months every single day. "My turn, my turn, we don't have much time" Casey yelled pulling me from my mother and wrapping me up in a hug equally as missed.

"I don't understand" I exclaimed unable to stop my tears, or quivering lips, or the sob that escaped. "Everything is going to be okay" my mother told me before gesturing somebody behind me over. "Dad?" I asked before turning around completely shocked to not see my father, but to see Ritchie. "What's going on? What are you doing here? Where is my dad?" I asked desperately hoping for answers.

"It's time" I heard my mother say gently smiling warmly at Ritchie "I's sorry" Ritchie said before grabbing my hand and sending the world into blackness.

"What?" Snape was the first to speak following what Blaise had said. "This is somehow related to her" Blaise said again pointing to the now peaceful Ritchie looking at Snape. "That doesn't make any sense" Theodore all but shouted completely freaking out as Ritchie began convulsing again.

"Doesn't make any sense?" Blaise questioned angrily as Madam Pomfrey and her nurse began tending to Ritchie again as water came flooding out of his mouth again "They guy is drowning in the hospital wing!" Blaise exclaimed moments from decking his mate in the nose.

"Drowning" Harry murmured suddenly coming to a realisation "She's drowning "Blaise said softly at the same moment Harry realised. "We have to find her. We have to find her now!" Draco demanded grabbing Scrimgeour by his robes.

"Mr Malfoy" Scrimgeour exclaimed horrified before Snape was grabbing Draco by the back of his robes and all but throwing him at Blaise, Theodore, and Harry. "We don't know Miss Potter is drowning" Snape added coolly forcing Jimmy to scoff "Her last name is Peterson" He snapped "Nobody walks around calling her 'Miss Zabini' so why do it with Potter? Peterson is the last link she has to the family who raised her so why do you insist on denying her the last comfort of her old life that she has?!" Jimmy snapped ignoring his mother who was trying to usher him back to the bed he vacated.

"If anybody in this entire school was close enough to have a link when one of them was in trouble it would be Ritchie Coote and Sarah Peterson" Jimmy said emphasising her last name while staring Snape down while everyone else not currently focused on assisting Ritchie looked on.

"She's drowning. Do something about it" Jimmy snapped before focusing on his best friend. "She could be anywhere in the forest" Snape snapped focusing back on Scrimgeour, Harry, Blaise, Draco, and Theodore. "Perhaps the boy knows" Arthur Weasley suggested removing himself from Ginny's side glancing at a calming down Ritchie and the nurse who had finally decided a bucked would be a good idea.

"In case you haven't noticed" Draco snapped before pointing to Ritchie. "He isn't exactly in a position to tell us anything right now" Draco continued fists clenched, and a sneer on his face. "No. But his mind could reveal it" Snape murmured "I need to speak with Slughorn" Snape added before briskly exiting the hospital without another word, his coat fluttering behind him, Arthur went back to his seat after a quick hand to Harry's shoulder and a murmured "We're here for you Harry".

"We're wasting time" Harry muttered running his fingers through his hair as Blaise started pacing "We need to be out there" Draco added and Theodore sighed in frustration, when exactly did he get voted in as the designated calm person?!

"Snape is right, she could be anywhere in the forest. Just wait for him to get back, he clearly has an idea" Theodore tried reasoning with the three boys who glared at him but stayed where they were.
