"I hate people" Ritchie said to me Monday morning at breakfast. "I hate people too" I said as we sat to the side away from everybody else glaring at all the happy people.
"Jimmy got a girlfriend and suddenly him and Nott are best friends" Ritchie said sourly and I nodded in understanding. Ritchie told me that when madam Pomfrey had told everybody to leave Jimmy's bedside he begged to have Flora, Hestia and Theodore stay leaving Ritchie out.
"He sucks" I said and Ritchie agrees. "I was dumped in the frozen lake and Harry hasn't even asked me how I'm doing" I said sourly and Richie nodded in understanding. "Sure he was there at the start but the second he was told he could go he did" I say and frown
"And he hasn't even spoken to me since" I added and glare at 'the boy who lived'. "If I knew what happened at the time I would have been there" Ritchie told me and I believed him. "They didn't even say anything about it in the hospital" Ritchie told me and I nodded.
"That's twice now that Harry has chosen somebody else over me, I don't really think I am going to give him another opportunity" I said angrily shaking my head in disbelief "I hate people" I repeated Ritchies earlier statement and he agreed as we watched Harry, Hermione and everybody fussing over Ron; and Jimmy sitting with his new Slytherin best friends.
~AFTER BREAKFAST~
I left breakfast early, I had potions with the sixth year students but didn't really feel like walking with any of them. I felt bad for Ritchie, he was stuck with mostly Slytherin's today and probably wouldn't talk to Jimmy all day.
I made it to the potions class room and sat down at my usual spot pulling out my book and doing some revision. "What's with the sour face?" A silky voice asked from the doorway and I nearly jumped out of my skin.
"What sour face?" I asked putting on the biggest fake smile and snickering when Draco rolled his eyes. "You suck at hiding your emotions" he stated slipping into the seat beside me. "Maybe you could teach me how to hide them from the rest of the world then" I said sarcastically and he smirked.
"So where are all your little friends?" he asked and I shrugged "Fawning over Ron" I said dryly and Draco laughed "Somebody's jealous" he said smugly and I rolled my eyes. "Not jealous exactly more....feeling unimportant" I said shutting my book giving Draco my full attention.
"Maybe you should go blow up some snowmen" Draco said and I laughed a little embarrassed "How did you know about that?" I asked truly shocked. "I know everything" Draco stated smugly causing me to laugh at him.
"Yeah sure you do" I said lightly and Draco was about to retort when we hear voices approaching the classroom. "Suppose I'll talk to you later" Draco said as he stood up. "Oh and Trust me Peterson" Draco said turning back around to face me.
"You're anything but unimportant" he said before he walked to his own seat as Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle enter the classroom followed by Harry, Hermione and Ron. I smile at what Draco had said and then frown as Harry, Hermione and Ron take their seats at the same bench as me.
~Later~
Defence against the Dark arts was basically hell on earth and I was so glad to leave the classroom knowing I didn't have any other classes that day, with the mood I was in that was a really good thing.
Snape was his usual self with some extra venom directed towards us Gryffindor's and it really got under my skin. I saw Kim on my way to lunch and she shrank away when I directed my glare her way.
None of her friends were with her and that made me feel better that she got what she deserved but I still felt bad for her. I sat bedsides Ritchie away from everybody else.
