"Honey!" My mom called up the stairs. "Come downstairs! We're going next door to meet our new neighbors honey!" she informed me.
I groaned, "Do I have to?" I yelled down the stairs.
"Yes," she said.
"Fine." she said, "at least let me change first though okay?"
"Okay okay." She said. I closed the door of my bedroom and opened my closet doors. I changed into a black and white polka dotted skater girl dress, and a pair of black flats with a bow by the toes. I curled my hair slightly then walked downstairs. "About time." my older brother said, "And why are you dressed so nicely? Looking for a boyfriend?" he teased me.
"At least I have a chance, unlike you." I sassed, flipping my hair.
"Kids stop it." my mom said.
"Fine." I said.
"Let's go." My brother said. My mom lead the way and me and my brother walked behind her, to the house next door. My mom knocked on the door and it opened to reveal a boy with brown like hair and crystal blue eyes. He was fit and tan, and oh my god I think I was in love... the only problem was his age, I was only 14 and he looked about 17. "Hey, I'm Nash." he introduced himself.
"Hi we're you're next door neighbors, I'm Y/M/N and this is Y/B/N and Y/N" my mom introduced us. "We just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood and we baked you a cake!" my mom said as she handed the cake over to him.
"Thank you, please, come in." Nash said as he held onto the cake and walked into the kitchen to set it down. I heard a pair of footsteps coming down the stairs. I looked up and saw a boy like Nash, but younger, possibly my age. "Nash, yo dude who was at the doo-" He said before he stopped int the middle of the sentence. We made instant eye contact. A smile appeared on the edge of his lips. "Hey." he said.
"Hey." I said. "I'm Y/N"
"Hi." he said as he came down the stairs and stood in front of me. "The name's Hayes." he said doing a little smirk like smile.
"Ahem" my brother fake coughed.
"Oh sorry this is my brother, Y/B/N," I said. "And my mother." I said gesturing towards them as I introduced them. Hayes' eyes didn't leave me.
"Hey Y/N do you wanna have a little tour of the house?" he asked. I nodded, "Yes please." I said. Hayes took his arm out and I interlocked mine with his. I giggled. "We'll be down here." My brother said. I turned my head back to see him and I mouthed, "good."
