Y'vania's POV
6 months later....
I finally finished up Rainbow's sequel. Daniel was insisting I should take my maternity leave earlier but I refused to pause my life to just sit at home. My studies and work have to go on. Rainbow's movie shooting is starting in about five months. The baby will be out by then, I'll resume work when we start shooting. Nina will have to get an assistant too. I don't want her to feel overwhelmed in any way.
We still have to do auditions for the main character. We haven't found the perfect one according to the way I described him but we'll get there. Javier and the team are working day and night to make it a success. They were able to find me an assistant. I really gave them a tough time but they carried on knowing that I am pregnant.
The other day, on Saturday I almost gave Daniel a heart attack. It's not my fault Braxton Hicks kicked in when we were cuddling on the couch in the downstairs living room and I screamed in pain. Nisha was sitting on the other couch playing with Elio.
I don't know how Daniel managed to jump up and run upstairs to get the maternity bag in a minute.
When he came downstairs I was still seated on the couch. The pain was starting to fade. He rushed by, opened the door and ran out to his car. He then rushed back in and started asking for his car keys. He was in full panic mode and I was feeling okay, the pain had passed and I was now staring at him rushing in to get his car keys then out again to his car.
He was rushing to the hospital forgetting the main character on the couch. Me.
By then I was laughing hard. Alice and Nina were wondering what the matter was because Daniel was shouting that I was in pain and the baby was coming but I was laughing hard and nowhere near delivery. He almost bumped into Jeff and Javier who were getting in from the office. Jeff held him tightly and pointed towards me.
That's when everyone laughed including Elio and the house staff. I was on the floor trying to control my laughter. He spoke up running towards me,
"What..you were just..how?"
"Relax man it's Braxton Hicks. Looks like you slept in all the classes once again."
Nisha said and everyone laughed again. Daniel was touching my face my stomach, my hands and feet. I don't know what he was specifically looking for but I couldn't stop laughing.
"When am I going to get used to these things?"
He asked loud enough getting back to his usual position, spooning me.
"You never get used to it because it's different all the time. It's okay. I am okay my love."
I assured him as everyone settled down for dinner.
So far everything is normal, very normal that it scares me sometimes. During Elio's pregnancy journey it was always hospital, medication, this or that precaution, bed rest and all the other shenanigans but with this one I feel so healthy, so strong and happy. I am at thirty eight weeks and I am experiencing the normal signs; peeing all the time, swelling of feet, heartburn, abdominal cramps, lack of sleep etc but I am okay.
Elio finds my walking style funny he imitates how I walk by putting one of his footballs under his shirt, holding one of his arm akimbo and waddling around just like me. He even knows how to copy my facial expressions especially when I sit down or get up or when I walk to the kitchen, open the refrigerator and start looking for something that won't give me acid reflux. He is starting to learn how to put words together to form a sentence. Most of his sentences are not grammatically correct but he's easily understood now.
