Anthony's POV
The world is really a weird place and some people are weirdly strong too I mean yes I am twenty five and there are some things that I still do as an immature man but there is Y'vania who is six years younger than me and she behaves like a fully matured woman. At nineteen I was more like a ten year old kid and I got myself into a lot of shit that my parents threatened to take me to rehab.
On the other hand Y'vania plans her life in a simple but surprising way I mean she's unpredictable and well organised despite her craziness at times. She talks like a grown up behaves like one and I admit am jealous. I want to meet her family and see if they behave in a similar manner.
The other thing that I am surprised of is her pride. She's that girl who doesn't expect anything from anyone and that includes my idea of offering her help in treatment. It's obvious that she can't raise such an amount of money but it's so hard for her to admit it.
That makes me ask, does she have relatives or something at least people that may come together and help? She's never willing to talk about it. She goes all quiet and distant whenever I try to bring the topic up. I swerve to the right to avoid hitting the person standing in the middle of the road. My thoughts getting cut off.
Oh my God! This isn't happening.
Were it not for this parts called emergency brakes in a car I'd have taken someone's life away.
When a girl gets into your head driving alone on a very dark night can be troublesome.
Talking and thinking about weird, the lady standing in front of my car is one of them. She isn't even freaked out that I nearly clipped her off. She's in fact leaning on the bonnet of my car. Or maybe-
No.
No freaking way I didn't hurt her.
She's not having a heart attack or something. I jump out of the car and reach out to her.
"Are you okay? Am sorry I didn't mean to-"
"-take my life away? So what if you killed me what would you do?"
"Y'vania? What-"
" Oh go ahead knock me out. Get into that car and run me over. As expensive as it looks I am sure you have insurance."
"Y'vania.. it's me. Sorry I didn't see you."
She shrugs and goes on staggering. Now I am really sure that she is not okay. She didn't even notice that it was me. She didn't notice this car.
I picked her up from her friend's house for our first date in this car. We shared our first kiss in this car. I get closer and take her hand . She stumbles and rests her head on my chest and I smell the alcohol in her breath. She tries leaving again and I quickly grab her hand before she could fall.
"Y'vania. Are you okay? What are you doing here? At this time of the night and..drunk? What did you drink? Why? Come on let's go."
I speak rather fast due to shock and worry. Who has ever seen an Aplastic anaemia patient drinking while undertaking medication? Something that could risk dangerous infections. She is so drunk that she hasn't even recognized me.
She doesn't move. Her eyes are closed and she's making this awkward meditation humming.
Yes she's completely wasted and all this is because of what I said to her this afternoon. Such a dumb idea.
look what love made me do.
"Y'vania let's go home."
"No I don't want to go back. I don't even know where you are taking me to. What if you are abducting me? How come you know my name? Who are you? I still love my life. Hello! Am talkin to you Mr stranger or should I call you Mrs stalker?"
Wow this is not going well. She isn't going to move. Her speech is hyponasal. It sounds like she has a flu. Or maybe she has been crying too much and her nasal passages are blocked. Whatever the reason is, this voice turns me on. No offence.
