GWEN’s POV

            Yeay! Bukas na ang music day! I love that day. I love listening to good music and of course, I love listening to the voice of my best friend, Ay! Mali pala… my ex-best friend L

Haay! I was getting ready for school when I passed by my mirror. Tinitigan ko ang mukha ko sa mirror. Naka- pony tail ang buhok ko pero messy parin para akong taong hindi nagsusuklay tapos ang polo ko pa ay sobrang laki para sa size ko and my skirt, of course dapat mahaba. I’m too conservative unlike other girls in my school especially those mean girls, oh!, you know them, Lila, Adriana, Kayla… and… makakalimutan ko ba ang taong muntik nang sirain ang memory card ko? SHEY! That old- looking b#$#! Though, she’s not old- looking… I’m the one who’s old looking.

I looked at my reflection on the mirror, staring... specifically on my eyeglasses. I slowly took it off. Ayan! Pareha lang naman itsura mo! Bulong sa akin ng sarili ko of course. Yeah, that was the negative side of me. You really need change. I’m so happy for you girl! Sabi naman ng positive side ko. You might think I’m weird and all but I do think about negative and positive outcomes but when I’m angry, I just don’t care about my little friends here. I’m referring about my nega fwend and posi fwend (negative mind and positive mind, weird huh?)

I wore my eyeglasses again and I fixed my hair by combing it and I even tried to make different hairstyles out of it but… SERIOUSLY!!! I ended up tying it into a ponytail again! I sighed…

And… you might be wondering why my thoughts are so English… That’s so funny because I’m trying to make English conversations and thoughts because oh so school is having the so called “Nutrition Month” this July and the teachers told us to start practicing our English because we will be having some guests from other countries and we have to entertain them… As if naman na ie- entertain ko sila noh… I’m just going to rest sa isang sulok hahahaha pero… pero… pero… naku! Plus points daw iyon sa social ko… Ugggh! Buhay nga naman.

And then the door opened…

“Hoi! Ano bang ginagawa mo at ang tagal tagal mo?” tinitigan naman ni Alderic ang salamin at ang suklay na nakahandusay sa dresser. (Oh, ayan! Nagtagalog na rin… At last!)

“Oi!!! Nagsusuklay na si best friend! Ginalaw mo na rin suklay mo!” sabi niya habang nag hohop hop na parang baliw sa harapan ko. Ano ba!? Ganiyan ba talaga ako kawalang care sa itsura ko, sabagay, ok lang naman sa akin na walang nakakapansin sa akin eh.

“Anong pake mo!?” sabi ko sa kaniya.

“Tingnan mo nga iyang buhok mo! Ang gulo nga rin eh!” I added

Bigla siyang lumapit sa akin at tinganggal ang tali ng buhok ko at UMALIS nalang agad…

What the hell?

… at bigla siyang bumalik

May dala-dala siya sa kamay niya at hindi ko na siya dapat tanungin kung ano iyon… isang headband...

“Teka!”

“Isuot mo na lang ito.” Sabi ni Alderic habang inaayos ayos ang buhok ko, pagkatapos niya galaw galawin ang buhok ko, nilagay niya na ang headband sa ulo ko.

And … hindi ko lang namalayan, he’s standing so close to me. So close that I can even here him breathing, as in totally clear. (With the English again… I’m getting used to this)

I looked at him… He was handsome and he seriously has great eyes… no! He has beautiful eyes but I never felt anything romantic towards my childhood friend who is also my best friend. I smiled weakly at him…
