Chapter Thirteen: Meeting the British boyfriend

*Maya's P.O.V*

The place where I'm meeting Katie and her boyfriend John for lunch is actually at a very nice but casual restaurant that her boyfriends parents own which is kind of cool. But anyway I pulled up to the curb near the restaurant I made sure I looked okay before getting out of my car and making my way into the restaurant.

When I got into the restaurant I was just about to start looking for Katie and her boyfriend when I heard someone say-

"Maya over here!"

making me turn to my left to see Katie and her boyfriend sitting just a few feet from me at table near the window. I smiled at them before walking over to them.

"Hi you must be John" I asked as I offered my hand to my sisters boyfriend.

"Yes indeed I am and it's very nice to finally meet you...Maya is it?" he asked as we shook hands.

"Yep that's me...and like wise John" I said with a big smile.

John smile at me again and after we got done shaking hands we sat down and started to talk.

"So how'd the appointment go today M? is the baby doing okay" Katie asked.

"Oh yeah...I forgot...Katie told me you're expecting...congrats by the way" John said with a nice big smile.

I smiled at him again before nodding. "Thank you....and to answer your question K....the baby is doing fine and it turns out I am fourteen weeks pregnant" I explained as I rubbed my stomach.

"Fourteen weeks!?"

"Yeah."

"Wow....so that means you're like 3 and half months pregnant right?" Katie asked.

"Yep and in 5 and half months I will be ready to pop like a balloon" I said as I continued to rub my stomach.

Katie and John both chuckled at that before Katie smiled at me. "Well I'm glad that the baby is doing good and I seriously can't wait for you to become a mom because you deserve to one because you are just so, so good with kids" Katie explained.

I smiled at her. "Thanks K."

"Very welcome M."

After that we stopped talking about the baby and soon started to talk about ourselves so me and John got to know a little but about each other. And as we were going that we were also joking around and I soon learned that John was a very, very funny guy how told really good jokes and did the most funniest things sometimes.

We continued to do that for a little bit before we stopped when the food we ordered came out. But as we were eating we still continued to talk and I got to know John pretty well and soon started to see whey Katie loves him so much.

After we got done eating Katie had to go use the bathroom.

So now it was just me and John now and we continued to talk.

"So you and my sister look comfortable together" I said with a big smile.

John lightly blushed at that before scratching the back of his neck.

"Yeah, she's the best" John stated.

I smiled at that. "She is and she is also the best little sister I could ask for and I'm glad that she found a great guy like you."

"And I'm glad that I found a great girl like her because she is really the best girl I have ever meet and I love her for that" 'aww' I smiled at John nice and big "And I love her so much that I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

I looked at John in shock and excitement before covering my mouth as I gasped in shock and excitement. "Oh my gosh...John! Katie's going to be thrilled!" I stated

"I know."

"But why are you telling me that?"

"Because I know, thanks to Katie, how protective you are over her so I wanted to tell you because I want you to know that I have no intentions on hurting her in anyway because I love her too much to ever hurt her and to also promise you that I will protect her and care for her no matter what" John explained.

'Wow Katie finally found the perfect guy for her.' I thought to myself.

I smiled at John before getting up and putting a hand on his shoulder and looking at him a little sternly.

"You better not break that promise mr." I said with a faint smile.

John smiled at me before shaking his head. "Don't worry I won't...and you should know that I never break a promise...ever" he stated.

"Ever?"

"Ever."

I looked at John a little sternly for a second before smiling at him. "Then in that case" I opened my arms nice and big "Welcome to the family John."

John smiled at me nice and big before getting up from his seat and pulling me into a big hug. I smiled at that before hugging him back.

We both hugged for a few minutes before we pulled away when I saw Katie coming back. And when Katie came back I pulled my phone out and saw that it was 4:30 and since my date with Chris was at 6:30 and it took me forever to get ready I decided to get going. So after I said goodbye to Katie and John I got back into my car and started it up before starting to make my way back home. And as I was driving home I couldn't help but get all excited for my date with Chris.
