Chapter Four: Fixing Broken Hearts Part Two

*MAYA'S P.O.V*

After I made Chris get a Shower-since it looked like he needed one- and changed into a comfy long sleeve dark blue shirt, jeans, and red converses we made our way back to my mom's house for ice cream.

When we got back to my mom's house I was once again attacked by Bailey.

I let her lick me for a few minutes before I pushed her off of me and got up and came face to face with a very smiley Chris.

"Looks like someone missed you" Chris said as he pointed to a very energetic Bailey.

"I know she did that to me as soon as I came into the house the first time" I stated as I wiped my face free of slobber.

Chris chuckled at that which I found very cute.

'Wait what? Did I just say that?'

I quickly brushed that aside before leading Chris to the kitchen. When we got into the kitchen we were meet by my mother, Madison and Katie who all smiled when they saw Chris.

"I was wondering when I would see you two best friends together again" my mom said as she gave Chris a big hug.

Me and Chris both smiled at that.

"Yeah and how long did it take Katie? 10....15 minutes" Madison asked with a smirk and crossed arms.

"Oh shut up" Katie said as she handed Madison a twenty.

Madison just snickered at that while me and Chris looked at each other in shock.

"Did you guys bet on how long it would take for me to go see Chris" I questioned with crossed arms.

"Yep and I won, I won, I won..."Madison rambled on as she mockingly showed off the twenty Katie just gave her.

Me and Chris looked at each other with raised eyebrows in confusion before looking back at my mother and sisters.

"Why exactly did you bet on us?" I asked really wanting to know why and I think Chris does to judging on his facial expression.

Madison and Katie looked at each other before looking at us with a big smile.

"Well since you guys are such good friends I figured that as soon as you found out about Chris being cheated on you would go and see him right away while Katie did not" Madison explained.

"And because we were disagreeing so much because of our different opinions we decided to bet on it to see if she was right or if I was right and as you just saw I was dead wrong" Katie explained too.

"Damn right you were wrong" Madison said making us all laugh.

After we got done laughing my mom and sisters left me and Chris alone in the kitchen to join Conner, Lizzie and Zack in the pool.

"Well take a seat ice cream will be ready in a minute" I said as I gestured for Chris to sit down at the island.

Chris smiled and nodded at that before slidding into a seat at the island while I walked over to the fridge and got the ice cream out. When I sat the ice cream on the island in front of Chris his eyes light up nice and big making me chuckle at it.

"Still got a big sweet tooth" I questioned as I handed him a spoon.

"Mhmmm" Chris mumbled as he took hold of the spoon.

I chuckled at that before pushing the ice cream carton in the middle of the island and taking the lid off and digging a spoon into it.

"Well I hope my mom doesn't mind but you feel like eating the whole thing" I asked as I stuffed my mouth full of ice cream.

"Do you really need an answer to that considering we've eaten a whole thing of ice cream before" Chris asked with a smirk.

I let out another chuckle before shaking my head.

"Nope."

Chris smiled at that before taking a spoonful of ice cream himself.
"Then I think you have my answer to your questioned then" he stated with a smirk.

"I think I do" I said returning the smirk.

We both laughed at that before continuing to eat the ice cream.

We ate the ice cream in silence for a few minutes before Chris asked-

"So how are things down in Miami with mr. Perferct?"

Making me clentch my jaw in anger when I started to remember the lies my boyfriend told me when I thought he the perfect guy. As I started to remember the lies he told me and the things he did I started to get really upset and soon I found myself breaking dow crying.

*CHRIS' P.O.V*

We ate the ice cream in silence for a few minutes before I asked-

"So how are things down in Miami with mr. Perferct?"

Very sarcastically. But when I asked that I saw Maya clentch her jaw in anger like she was mad at something.

'Did I saw something wrong?'

Then the next thing I knew Maya was breaking done crying. At what? I don't know. But as soon as Maya started to cry I got up from where I was sitting and rushed over to her and wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into a comforting hug while she burried her face into my chest and cried into it. And as Maya was crying I picked her up bridal style and carried her out into the living room and sat down on the couch with her in my lap and I continued to let her cry for a few minutes before I cupped her chin in my hand and made her look up at me.

"What's wrong M?" I asked really concerned wanting to know why my best friend was crying.

"My boyfriend that's what's wrong" my stated sounding really mad.

"What happened?"

Maya looked at me still looking sad as can be before she ran a hand through her half brown half blonde hair.

"He was arrested last week after the cops found him in possession of drugs and now has 15 to 20 years in prison for being a freakin drug dealer" Maya explained frustrated and making me really shocked.

"He was what?"

"A freakin drug dealer and now I feel like a fucking idiot for falling in love with him and thinking he was the right guy for me" Maya said still very frustrated as she got up off the couch.

I looked at Maya in pitty at how upset and heartbroken she looked before getting up off the couch and walking over to her and cupping her face in my hands and making her look at me.

"Don't make yourself feel like you're an idiot because you're not Parker is the idiot for hurting a sweet, loving, nice and carring girl like you for doing the stupid thing that he did" I said trying to make Maya feel better.

Maya smiled at that before removing my hands from her face anf wrapping her arms around me and pulling me into hug. I smiled at that before hugging her back and resting my chin on her cute little head.

'Wait what?'

"Thanks Chris I really needed that." She said bringing me back.

I smiled at that before patting her back.

"No problem M."

Both of us hugged for a little bit before we pulled away. And when we pulled away we both smiled at each other before Maya gestured to the ice cream.

"Now come on let's finish this ice cream captain."

Making me chuckle at that.
