Chapter Forty Eight: Really Bad News

*Maya's P.O.V*

It's been about five days since we moved to LA and it's been an absolute blast so far. Thanks to it being so nice and sunny out here all the time. We spend most of that time outside enjoying it by either swimming in the pool or me and Chris playing with Ben and Blaze in the yard. And I enjoy seeing Chris play with Ben because it's one of my favorite things to watch thanks to it being very cute. 

But just because  like it out here in LA doesn't mean I don't miss being back home in Boston with my family. I miss them a lot and I also miss spending time with them like I use to do. 

However, thanks to them calling, texting, or face timing me all the time I don't miss them as much. But I still miss them. 

"MAYA!!" Chris yelled from the living room making me jump a little. 

"Yeah?!" I shouted as I walked out of our room. 

"You might want to come and see the TV!" Chris said with a hint of worry in his voice. 

I frowned an eyebrow in confusion at that before waling out to the living. When I got to the living room I saw Chris looking at the TV in anger as he clenched his jaw and tapped his foot against the floor in anger as well. I was about to ask him what was wrong, but stopped when I looked at TV and felt my blood run cold when I saw that was on it. 

On the TV was a picture of Parker's mugshot that was taken the day he was arrested and thrown in jail for drug possession and dealing. But what really made my blood run cold was what it said underneath his mug shot. 

"Chris?....please don't tell me this is true?" I asked in a shaky voice as I read the words 'escaped prisoner' underneath Parker's mugshot. 

"I wish I could M...but I can't, it's true and I'm so, so sorry that it is" Chris said as he stood up and walked over me. I looked up at Chris as tears started to form in my eyes before wrapping my arms around his torso and burying my face into his chest. Chris kissed the the top of my head as he pulled me closer to him before rubbing his hands up and down my back. 

"Parker Green, the escaped prisoner from the Federal Correctional institution in Miami, Florida, was said to have escaped from there yesterday afternoon at around 1:45 pm after he managed to sneak past or knock out most of the guards there before making a run for it and escaping. Guards at the prison say they are furious that this happened but are trying their best to find Green and bring him back to prison. Green was thrown in prison about almost a year ago after he was arrested for drug possession and dealing. And authorities advise anyone who has seen Green or has anything to do with him to call them immediately" The reporter on the TV said before moving onto another report.

"He's going to come looking for me and  Ben, Chris....we have to do something about that" I said as I pulled away from Chris and looked up at him as tears started to run down my face thanks to how scared I am thanks to Parker escaping prison. Because trust me when I say he wasn't greatest and nicest boyfriend I have ever had. 

"We will, I promise you that M" Chris said before he kissed my forehead. "And no matter what I'm not going to let Parker take you and Ben away from me, I love you guys to much to let that happen." 

Chris smiled at me as he wiped away some tears that were falling down my face before he pecked my lips nice and quick and pulling me into a comforting hug. I smiled at the comfortable warmth in Chris' hug before hugging him back as I buried my face in his chest. 

I really hope Parker is found and arrested again before he tried to do something bad that could ruin mine, Chris and Ben's lives.

A/N) *Gasped dramatically*  Parker's out and he's looking for Maya! Oh no!
