Chapter Fifty Two: Rescue

*Chris' P.O.V*

As I pulled into the parking lot of the police station I felt a wave of relief wash over me.

"I just got to the police station Maya, so it shouldn't be that long until they find you. So just hang out" I said as I got out of my car before running over to Ben's side of the car to get him.

*Silence on Maya's end*

"Maya?....hello? Maya are you still there?" I asked in a lot of worry when Maya didn't say anything.

*Silence. Again. on Maya's end*

I felt my stomach drop and heart skip a beat when Maya didn't say anything and all I heard on her end was dead silence. When I heard that I quickly but carefully took Ben out of his carseat and the car before I rushed into the police station to go and get help from my friend Nick. Who's actually the police chief here that I've known for a while. So he'll help me as soon as I tell him what happened thanks to him being good friends with Maya as well.

As soon as I got into the police station I went straight to Nicks office before knocking on his office door.

"Come in" Nick said from the other end of the door. As soon as Nick said that I quickly opened the door before stepping into Nick's office.

"Chris....hey what's up?" Nick asked as he stood up from his desk and walked over to me.

"I need your help Nick, it's Maya she's in a lot of trouble right now" I said as I balanced Ben on my hip.

"What happened?" Nick said in concern.

"Her ex-boyfriend....""The drug dealer that got thrown in jail as least a year but has now escaped from jail, that one?" Nick asked kindly cutting me off.

"Yeah.....he somehow found her and when he found her he kidnapped her and took her to some sort of abandoned warehouse" I explained.

"How do you know all that if he kidnapped her?" Nick asked a bit confused.

"Maya managed to get her phone back from Parker before she knocked him out herself, and I guess I called her after that because she answered my call when I called her and told me everything that happened" I stated as I handed Nick my phone.

"So you need help in finding Maya by tracking her phone?" Nick asked as he looked at my phone.

"Yeah, but you need to do that as quickly as you can Nick because Maya's life is on the line as we speak" I said as I tighten my grip on Ben a bit.

"How is her life on the line? Did Parker hurt her?" Nick asked.

"Yeah....Parker, he....uh, he shot her two times in both her stomach and her right shoulder....and when I was on the phone with her she was in a lot of pain and it sounded like she was slowly passing out, and just now I tired to talk to her and all I heard on her end was dead silence....s-s-so I think, uh, Maya....I th-think sh-she passed out from all the blood she lost....or sh-she, uh....oh god" I couldn't even say what i was about to say because I couldn't and shouldn't even think about that.

"Chris calm down....we'll find Maya and get her help as soon as we find her....and don't worry she's going to be just fine, I promise you that man" Nick said with a reassuring smile as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks Nick" I said with a faint smile.

"You're welcome" Nick said before patting my shoulder. "Now just sit tight while I get some friends of mine to track Maya's phone so we find her and get her help. And I'm sure we'll find her phone in no time."
