Chapter Forty Seven: Lucky

*Chris' P.O.V*

The next morning I woke up to Ben crying and also to Blaze licking my face. I smiled at Blaze's licks before picking her up and putting her down on the floor as I got up.

I let out a yawn and did a big stretch before getting up and walking over to my dresser to get dressed. After I got dressed in a white t-shirt, boxers and grey sweatpants I looked down at a still sleeping Maya as she was wrapped in our bed covers and had her face buried into her pillow a bit. I smiled at her before gently kneeling down next her on our bed so I wouldn't wake her up before moving some of her hair out of her face and kissing her forehead and then trailing kisses along her neck and shoulder. Maya smiled at that before burying her face deeper into her pillow as she continued to sleep.

I smiled at her again before walking out of our room and towards Ben's when I heard Ben starting to cry a bit louder. When I got into Ben's room I walked in and sadly smiled a bit when I saw him sitting up in his crib as tears rolled down his face as he cried.

"What's the matter buddy?" I asked as I walked over to him. Ben just kept on crying before reaching for me when I got over to him. I sadly smiled at him before feeling a bit concerned when I saw a good sized black an blue mark on his forehead.

"Did you bump your head on something buddy?" I asked as I picked him up. Ben cried a bit more before burying his face into his neck and clinging to my shirt as he kept on crying. I'll just take that as a yes.

I sadly smiled at that before rubbing my hand up and down Ben's back to calm him down. "Shh, shh, it's okay Ben, it's okay, daddy's here."

I froze in a bit of shock at the fact I just said that. I mean I've gotten use to the fact that Ben calls me daddy. But I haven't really said anything like that yet.

"Daddy.....h-here" Ben said as he pulled away and smiled at me.

I smiled at him before gently kissing the black and blue mark on his forehead. "Yeah daddy's here."

Ben smiled at me before burying his face into my neck again. I smiled at that before walking out of his room and then towards the kitchen to start breakfast for me and Maya.

When I got to the kitchen I put Ben in his high chair and gave him one of his toys to play with while I started to make breakfast. I decided to make pancakes and bacon since those were Maya's favorite  to eat for breakfast.

I was in the middle of pouring some pancake batter into the pan when I felt a pair of familiar petite arms wrap around me making me jump a bit. But then I smiled when I heard Maya laugh.

"Morning Cap" She said before kissing the back of my neck making me smile a bit more.

"Morning sleepy head" I said as I turned my head a bit to smile at her. Maya smiled back at me before standing on her tippy toes and pecking my lips nice and quick.

"What's for breakfast?" Maya asked as she buried her head into my back.

"You're favorite" I said with a big smile.

"Ooo, pancakes and bacon?" Maya asked in excitement.

"Yep" I said

"Best fiance ever" Maya said with a big smile making me smile.

"Mommy?" Ben asked.

"What is it baby?" Maya asked as she pulled away from me before walking over to Ben.

"U....Up" Ben said as he reached for Maya. We both smiled at Ben before Maya picked him up and started to give him raspberries on his stomach and kissing his face over and over again making him giggle. I smiled at them and as I looked at the two of them I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest man alive thanks to them. Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I would be dating my best friend and helping her raise her son. Who I bet is going to be a awesome step son when he gets older. But he already is an awesome step son. If I do say so myself.

"So when are you getting the ends of your hair dyed blue?" I asked as I handed Maya her breakfast. Since Maya's character in Agents of SHIELD and Age of Ultron has blue hair Maya has to get her hair dyed. I'm actually kind of excited to see her with blue hair.

"I made an appointment at the salon next week to get my hair dyed, so next week is when I half of my hair gets dyed blue" Maya said smiling at me. I smiled back at her before taking a bite out of my pancake.

"And when are you going to shave your beard?" Maya asked.

"Uh....I'll probably shave it about two weeks after Winter Soldier comes out" I said as I rubbed my hand up and down my beard. "Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering that's all, and also because I know you can't have a beard when you have to film for either a Cap or Avengers movie thanks to Steve not having one. Even thought a beard will make Steve look ten times hotter and sexier then he already is"Maya said making me give her a really look at first before I flattery smiled at her when I realized how nice the comment was.

"And how hot and sexy does the beard make me look miss Stevens?" I asked with a light smirk as I walked toward her.

"Ooo, way much hotter and sexier then would for Steve" Maya said as she smiled at me. I smiled back at her before leaning down and kissing her. Maya smiled against my lips before kissing me back as she placed her hand on my cheek.

"E-ew" Ben said making us pull away and laugh. We looked at Ben and smiled at him before we started to kiss him all over his face making him giggle uncontrollably.
