Chapter 59: The anemone rebellion!

Azul finally notices us at the corner of the lounge. "Hmm? You are...oh. I don't see an anemone on both your heads. I'm afraid we're having a staff meeting right now. If you don't have a stake in this matter, I must ask your leave for us to sort this out internally." Azul advises us politely.

"Grrr... Do you think I don't have a stake in this? I was planning to study on my own and outscore these guys in a fair competition during the exams. And now you've ruined that. I think I DO have a stake in here!" growls Jack in warning.

"Uh-oh. They've offended Jack's principles..." I mutter to myself beside him.

"Jack, Lilith? Did you guys come to help us!?" asks Grim hopefully.

Jack crosses his arms. "Don't get the wrong idea. I can't stand any of the people in this room."

I gently cough to remind him that I'm here, too.

"Ah-I mean...I'm disgusted with every last cheating one of you. Why would I side with the slimeball offering shady backroom deals OR the guys who chose to let others do their work for them?" Jack corrects himself.

"Then, what did you come here for?" asks Ace, bewildered at our arrival.

Grim cuts in, "Actually, I think Jack's right. He's given me the wake-up call I needed," Grim states before showing a grin. "If we all just go against Azul to steal and destroy the contracts, they'll be invalid!"

After Grim's comment, the other students start to get fired up one by one.

"Ah! When you put it that way..." agrees a Pomefiore student before pulling out his magical pen.

"We might not have our strongest magic, but we have numbers on our side! Let's do this!" says another Scarabia student. The crowd of anemone students started pulling out their magic pens.

I look around the room of anemone students at the sudden turn of events before deciding whether to step in.

"These guys are hopeless," I sigh out loud before noticing that Azul wasn't even fazed at the sudden uprising.

"Dear me. I really didn't want to resort to violence, but alas," sighs Azul before turning towards a very familiar pair of twins that I recall from the Magift tournament. "Jade, Floyd, please play with them for a bit," he orders them.

"As you wish," replies Jade politely while Floyd grins playfully at the crowd of students.

"I can squeeze all of them? Ah ha, yay~," he cheers before I decide to finally help out since I didn't want Grim to drag us into any further trouble. I pull out my candlestand, then join Jack and the others in the brawl.

They're too strong! That is all I could think of as I watched Azul, Jade, and Floyd send the anemone students flying left and right like they were dust bunnies.

"Lilith, behind you!" I hear Jack yell at me before I feel strong arms wrap around my waist, giving me a firm squeeze. I turn in surprise at the sudden hug since I know who it is, but this wasn't the time! I try my best to struggle free from Floyd's hug.

"Uh...Floyd-senpai, I'm not in the mood for a hug right now. Can you please let go of me?" I ask nicely while I try to wiggle out of Floyd's iron grip as best as I can.

"Hahehe, I could~ but how about I do this? Tickle, tickle~" laughs Floyd with a smile. I look at him in confusion before Floyd starts tickling my sides with a hand he freed from my tummy. I burst into laughter and try to desperately squirm out of his grip, but my arms won't budge.
