Note: I DO NOT OWN TWISTED WONDERLAND: DISNEY!
Chapter 54: Just another day at Night Raven College!
----------------------
After the successful sleepover and an uneventful weekend, Grim and I are back in classes. The history class today involves multiple grades; Grim and I have Trey as our deskmate during Trein-sensei's lecture on the final chapter of the Queen of Hearts history. I have been paying attention all the way until I notice Grim has fallen asleep. The torso of his sleeping, fluffy tummy rising and descending steadily has a hypnotic effect on me. An idea comes to mind: I release Grim's grip on the history book gently and rest my head on his tummy. He barely moves: it seems that my face is like a heating pad for Grim.
We are woken up by the rush of students packing up their belongings. At that moment, Trein-sensei is wrapping up the lecture: "This concludes today's lesson. For tomorrow's lecture, we will begin the legend of the King of Beasts."
Suddenly, I remember the notes Trey lent me for the previous test for Trials of the Queen of Hearts: "Thanks for the notes, Trey-senpai. They were a big help on the test." Both Grim and I managed to get a pretty good grade!
Trey pushes the notes back to me: "You're welcome Lilith, but you can keep those notes. You and Grim would need them for the exam coming up. I have my original copy."
As we walk out of the classroom, Trey seems to be in a hurry.
"Slow down, Glasses. Why in such a rush?" asks Grim curiously.
"Oh, it's because I need to tend to the white roses soon," Trey explains.
"But, isn't it the first year's turn to tend to the roses?" I ask. I remember Ace and Deuce telling me that the roses' duty starts with the first-years this month.
Trey confirms with a nod: "You're right. It's not supposed to be my turn. But that's beside the point. If I leave it to someone else and they mess it up, Riddle gets mad. And which would you rather endure? Some rose-tending or Riddle's wrath?"
"Yikes! I know what you mean!" yelps Grim, as we bid each other goodbye and go our separate ways to the next class.

"Listen up, pups! Today, you'll be brewing your first potion. So you will be doing this in groups of no more than four to five members," Crewel-sensei begins at the start of Potionology Class.
The students push back their chairs and start searching for partners haphazardly. Crewel-sensei grows impatient, clasping his pointer in his hands: "Now chop-chop, we don't have all day. Choose your group members and then slip on your lab coats and safety gear." The students spring into action. Luckily, Grim and I didn't have to look far. With Ace and Deuce sitting in the usual spots, all four of us automatically become a team.
Next, it's time for the lab coats and goggles. Since my new uniforms are still in the works, Crewel-sensei hands me a temporary lab coat. I thank him and put on the coat. Each group then settles in front of individual lab tables. On each table, there is a miniature cauldron filled with a silver liquid for making the potion, five bottles of ingredients, and a sheet of instructions. All the while, I keep an eye on Grim, checking his impatience to play with the potion ingredients.
Crewel-sensei announces: "For today's potion, your group will be brewing a simple shrinking potion often used in the Legend of the Queens of Hearts." Then he walks over to help the first group adjust the fire to their cauldron while pointing at the items on the table: "Instructions and a list of ingredients are listed on the sheet of paper in front of you. However, I will be monitoring each table to make sure that you are following these simple instructions."
