Chapter 63: A night at Savanaclaw and morning training!

"I refuse," said Leona while Jack and I stood side by side in the Savanaclaw lounge. We waited for a reply after explaining our situation to Leona.

"You didn't have to answer so quickly..." said Jack while ruffling his hair at the difficulty of the situation and the sudden turn of events.

"We don't allow pets in this dorm cause they'll shed everywhere," adds Leona, eyeing Grim directly at the comment.

"As if! You've got way more hair than me!" exclaims Grim.

"This is a 'you' problem, not us," informs Ruggie. He was observing the situation behind Leona.

"Pretty much," agrees Leona.

"For one thing...Our empty rooms haven't been cleaned in months. Dorm students use 'em as a dumping ground for their junk. Where are we supposed to put up with the two of you?" Leona asks.

"Ah, I've got an idea. We can put them in Leona-san's room," suggests Ruggie with a grin.

"What!?" we exclaim in shock before Leona is the first to recover and glares at Ruggie.

"Oi, Ruggie. Choose your words carefully. I'm not some cub-sitter. You want your mouth sewn shut?" snaps Leona.

"But Leona-san, you should be used to having servants in your room, right? If you make them take care of you, it'll work as their payment and then, it's a win-win," explains Ruggie but I notice him giving me and Grim a quick wink.

"Grrr...Ruggie, why you..." growls Leona in warning as his ears flatten while Ruggie suddenly leans onto me for support and acts to appear to be heavily injured.

"Oh no~ My injury from the Magift tournament is still bugging me quite a bit~I worked so hard that I had to drink a potion to restore my magic. I even went so far as putting my life on the line for you. My condition will get better much faster if these guys were to help take care of you," cries Ruggie in 'hurt' before burying his head into my shoulder, looking like an injured puppy while I pat his back in comfort, trying to play along with the sudden act.

"Tch, you're a shrewd one," snarls Leona while Ruggie gasps in shock at the accusation, but his visible smirk is what gives him away. "So rude, I'm not lying. Shishishi."

Leona rolls his eyes before looking at me seriously. "But I am not going to let you in that easily," he said before turning to the side and shouting, "Hey, boys! Get in here!"

He yells as three familiar Savanaclaw students arrive. "You called, Dorm Head?" asks Cheetah, and an all-too-familiar trio notices us from the corner of his eye.

"Aren't you two the little cubs who came to spy on us before the Magift tournament?" he asks before Puma pulls out his magical pen. "The prey that got away came back on its own! Hehehe!"

I turn towards Leona with a raised eyebrow at the new challengers as if silently asking for an explanation. "If you beat these residents, I'll have no problem letting you stay as the help. Even though it's only for three days, I'm not letting any weaklings into Savanaclaw," informs Leona.

I raise an eyebrow in an 'oh, really?' glance in Leona's direction before I shrug, pass Wolly over to Jack, and raise my hand-ups, ready to 'fight'.

"Hey, Grim are you ready to 'attack' them?" I ask and Grim grins back at me and the battle starts as he pounces immediately at a familiar Coyote student, who lets out a 'manly' scream at the surprise attack on his ears.
