Taylor's POV

I was so late.

My stupid shift ended up overlapping with my dance rehearsal time and now, I was 30 minutes late.

I quickly stripped out of my protection against the cold wind that had overcast New York and scuttle over towards my designated spot. I was positive I wasn't caught yet, but when I looked up into glaring dark hazel eyes I knew I was.

"Why are you late?" he snapped. I flinched.

"I got caught up. I -" I tried to explain, but he cut me off.

"So, what you are doing here isn't important for you to be on time?" he quizzed, sizing me up with a snarl on his face.

"I was at work and -"

"So you don't consider this work" he bellowed. By now every one had stopped working and was looking at our exchange. I felt my face heat up and I can assure you it wasn't blushing from embarrassment.

"Yes I do, Mr. Chance" I spat, giving him a glare of my own. I absolutely hated when people cut me off and I positively loathed when they try to embarrass me.

Scowling, he raked his eyes along my body and I stood even bolder to show him that I wasn't afraid.

"Let's go over Promiscuous Love from the top!" he shouted, turning around to look at the mirror. While his eyes avoided mines, I took a time to look around the room. Clearly, everyone was uncomfortable with the raging beast in front of us. The dancers looked weary already and practice had just started. Well, 30 minutes ago.

"He's been like this since we started and PG isn't here to save us" a guy whispered beside me. He was a little taller than me with spiky brown hair and sharp gray eyes. He smiled, defining his strong jawline, and stretched an arm out.

"I'm Max and you're Taylor" he introduced and I nodded starstruck by his eyes. It was as if he was looking into my soul with those things.

"Wait, you know my name?" I asked, finally stepping out of my trance. He chuckled ruffling his hair.

"Yeah, I know everyone's name around here. I'm a pretty observant person" he shrugged, a blush tinting his cheeks.

He's blushing.

Probably because you're staring at him like a creepy stalker.

Adverting my eyes to the front, I mumbled a "Yeah".
