Taylor's POV

"If you keep this up we're not going to make it out of here" I grumbled, leaning against the wall.

"Maybe if you help get her ready sometimes it would just go a tad bit faster" Kim snapped blowing furiously at a loose hair that fell into her face. I rolled my eyes over toward her and looked back to the ceiling.

That is so not happening.

I would do anything to support Kim, besides getting Ruby ready. The girl was impossible to control when it comes to putting clothing items on her limbs. She would move continuously, run away from you and even sometimes hide. Don't think I am just saying this because I saw Kim's struggle.

 No.

I experience this firsthand. Ruby is a total headache when it comes to getting her ready and me being the fun Aunt really couldn't control her.

"Ruby! I swear to gaah" Kim screeched walking back into the living room. By the way they were moving, we won't make it out of here on time.

Instead of me being to work and probably getting a late yell from Kysnor, I was actually off today and able to make it on time.

Well, possibly.

That's if dramatic things One and Two ever made it out of the house.

Grabbing the screaming toddler, I hoist her on my hips and marched towards the exit. Ruby was muttering something incomprehensible as she squirmed in my arms. Kim let out a breath of relief and turned to lock the door just as the phone rang.

"Don't you dare answer that" I warned, glaring at my best friend. Her eyes widen, glancing from me and the now-closed door. "We aren't home! It'll go to voicemail! Please let's go" I whined. Kim had this awfully bad habit of believing that voicemail and answering machines don't work. Like, instead of just allowing our house phone to ring and the person leaving a message, she is now frantically trying to unlock the door to retrieve it. "Oh, heavenly father" I rolled my eyes and place Ruby on the floor. "Be free spawn, be free" I told her.
