Panic! Sheer panic was all I felt as I stormed into the hotel suite adrenaline shooting throughout my body. I had been informed from my Solace guards that she left the hotel in a cab and they had lost her . It seemed that she had switched cabs several times at different highly populated locations until she had intentionally lost them. She did this by taking a cab to one establishment then going through a side door or fire exit directly into another cab going in the opposite direction. Cabs were a dime a dozen in New York and it did not take long for my men to lose her in a sea of yellow sedans. I didn't even bother with my shoes as I raced from room to room in the oversized empty suite calling her.
"Solace! Judith!?"
I found myself opening shower curtians, looking under beds and behind furniture as if she was just playing a game of hide and seek with me. Yanking open her closet I found each and every piece of clothing I had purchased for her neatly hung up. Except for the pieces she had already worn they all still had their price tags attached to them. The shoes I bought were also neatly lined up on the floor still in their original different colored boxes. Her black chanel bookbag sat on her bed and it was filled with all the accessories I purchased for her. I pulled then out tossing them on the bed sporadically as if somehow it would help me find her.
"Judith!" I called out to the empty room again. I dropped the bag and frantically looked around as I moved back into the living room. Pulling my cellphone from my pocket I dialed her number. I had attempted calling her on the way back but the phone just rang until I reached her voicemail. Now as it began to ring again however, this time, I heard it...a cell phone ringing with the tune Tell Me Goodbye by Big Bang. I followed the sound with a sense of dread towards my own bedroom. My heart raced as hoped that I was overreacting that she just needed some freash air; but as I moved closer hearing her phone on my nightstand I knew she was gone. Now I knew why she had fought me on buying her a phone on a plan and bought this one instead. Why it had been so easy for her to chuck her previous phone from the balcony and why she was fine phoneless. A prepaid phone was disposable, untraceable, and replaceable. She could leave this phone behind without any attachments and I felt a pang in my cheast as I wondered if she was able to leave me the same way. I hung up to silence the lyrics from the chorus of Tell Me Goodbye and fell to my knees clutching both phones.
I felt the deepest dispair and anxiety suffocating me as I leaned forward trying to breathe. How could she do this to us? She hadn't even given me a say and just left. I opened her phone and looked through it to see if I could find any clues as to where she had gone. There were only four numbers saved in the address book Top, Taeyang, myself and Zico. There were no messages, texts or call history except for my missed calls. I stood up from the floor and pulled up Zico's number on my phone wondering if that's where she had decided to run to. It rang three times and then he answered sleepily.
"Yoboseyo."
"Is she with you?" I immediately started in on him.
"What?" He cleared his throat.
