Listen to the song (Fragments by Jaymes Young) as you read :) honestly I discovered this song a couple of days ago. It's chilling to see how much it relates to Reign and Tobias!

FEBRUARY

It's been two days and I've been trapped in my apartment with Tobias. The storm outside was restless, there was no way for anybody to leave. My apartment complex assured us that they would supply us anything we needed, but we all needed to stay put for our safety. I would've expected Tobias to walk out like he always does since he never cared about his health anyways, but he surprisingly stayed. Though things were all out in the open now, things between us have never been more distant between us.

We walked passed each other like we were a ghost like we were two shy roommates who didn't know anything about each other. His confession and my unsureness made us reach an understanding for once; we needed space, but we couldn't stand to be apart from one another.

We talked briefly every now and then, saying we needed to use the bathroom if one of us was inside or that we needed to pass each by each other to get something from my fridge. We were an old married couple in a way; we minded our own business and did what we needed.

During the day, I registered for my spring classes at Columbia and Tobias would work out intensely. I wanted to tell him to stop, that he was going to only add more stress on himself, but I could see that it relieved stress for him. I also couldn't lie he looked divine as he did push-ups.

That night, after he took his shower, he joined me on the couch. His hair was producing small water stains on my leather couch. I bit my lip as I looked down at my lap. I was dressed comfortably, in my yoga pants and leg warmers. As I reached out to grab the remote and change the commercials, I felt his hand rest on top of mines. That cliche electrical surge passed through me and I dropped the remote as a result.

"Sorry, go ahead-"

"-it's your apartment."

I looked up at him, an eerie feeling passing through us. He was dressed in a plain black thermal shirt and some pajamas pants he already had here. He looked better, the small bruise around his eye nor longer a deep shade of purple, but was now a nasty shade of yellow. There was a jagged scrape next to his lip that was starting to heel as well.

I turned my head away and reached out for the remote again, about to change the channel due to the commercials. A Harry Potter marathon on
ABC Family was on and I left it on there. Just as I was about to witness Harry and Ron crash the flying car into a tree, my TV cut off. It took me a minute to realize all of my electricity had turned off. Darkness and silence swallowed Tobias and I. I felt the warm heat slowly escape my body. I felt some shifting around and Tobias mumble something. I heard a flipping of a light switch and then a sigh.

"Powers out," I heard Tobias say. I ran a weary hand through my face.

This couldn't be happening right now. I was not only stuck with Tobias at the awkwardest time, but now there was nothing that could save me from the suffocating awkwardness.

"I'm going to check if it's just ours or everybody else's."

I saw a faint light come from his phone and soon there was a closing of my front door. I didn't miss how he said ours as if this was our home and not mines. Frankly, it didn't seem like it was just mines anymore.
