5 Years Later
I stared blankly at the pale bathroom wall, trying to feel anything but angst within the pit of my stomach in this moment.
Between school and work; I've attempted to fit friends, family, and Harry into my schedule which meant I had to go to Liam's football games with my friends whilst Harry and I snuck into a public bathroom. It's more as if I'm killing three birds with one stone instead of two.
As well to add to the stress, I now find myself trembling in my bathroom as I wait for a pregnancy test's results that may or may not hold the rest of my life ahead of me.
I licked my lips, constantly checking the timer on my phone hoping time would go faster.
The ringing phone on my lap startled me, making me quickly fumble for the stick that laid on the bathroom counter.
I glanced at the small window, seeing a positive sign and having a heavy sigh escape my lips as I then glanced at the three other positive tests aligned in the sink.
I cursed under my breath, tossing the one test in my hand in the sink with the others and pulling the small strands of hair out of my face.
After a small moment of shock and bringing myself back together, I gathered everything in the box it all came in, throwing it in the trashcan wrapped in piles of toilet paper so Harry wouldn't suspect anything.
Going back downstairs, I heard footsteps in the kitchen catching Harry leaning against the kitchen island with an apple in hand.
"Morning love" he said, still in his pajama bottoms and slippers.
"Good morning" I smiled, opening the refrigerator for milk.
Reaching up for a box of cereal I examined the top seeing it to be way passed its expiration date, furrowing my eyebrows I grabbed another one having the same scenario again.
With a sigh, I looked over to Harry with a raised eyebrow, "Harry, you can't just put expired cereal back in the cabinet and act as if it'll magically disappear" I huffed, pulling down dozens of old cereal boxes as Harry leaned against the counter next to me eating his apple and snickering away.
"Why? Because it annoys the shit out of you?"
"No, because it's gross and space consuming" I glared at him.
"And because it annoys you" he laughed throwing away the core of his apple.
"How do I even tolerate living with you?" I asked, leaning my body up against his and tilting my head up to reach his eyes.
"Because you love me" he smirked cheekily as he pecked my lips.
I smiled to the words, unable to help but agree to the statement because I did love this unbelievably nerve wrecking mess. But he was my mess.
"That I do" i sighed with a smile as he made his way to the living area.
My smile slowly faded away as I began to gather the words I would tell him about the positive pregnancy tests, Harry and I don't keep anything from each other and this would be a hard thing to keep.
"You still haven't told me what you want for your birthday" Harry announced as I went down the few steps to join him in the living room.
"And I told you I didn't want anything" I explained, "We just celebrated your birthday last week Harry, why are you planning mine already?"
"Because February is the shortest month of the year so it'll be March in no time, and I'm your boyfriend Vanessa; it's an obligation for me to get you presents for your birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and our anniversary" he said as he counted on his fingers.
