I fixed my hair one last time and walked out of the bathroom. I looked over at the bedroom seeing Harry still asleep on the mattress with Pepper at his feet, I sighed going down the stairs checking the watch around my wrist seeing it was time to go.
Taking the handle of my suitcase, I took one last look at the top of the stairs hoping Harry would quickly come down to say goodbye. But he didn't.
I reached for the cold doorknob turning it to open walking out on the chill early August air, which I won't stay in for long.
I pushed my luggage in the backseat unlocking the driver's door and gripping the wheel once inside.
I was excited for this, I was. I was just struggling to prove it to myself at the moment, but I knew once I saw my Gran everything would change.
I reached on my jacket pocket pulling out my mother's small journal opening it to the page I last left off.
Dear Diary,
I don't want to make this entire thing about Marshall, he's not my entire life but he's definitely a part of it. But on another hand my brother has gone of to University now, my mother says I should follow him there but I think it's just an excuse to get me away from Marshall since she despises him. Not how a mother dislikes their daughters' others', my mother despised him...
Envy was a strong word, I wouldn't say Gran envied my father. Strongly dislike yes, but envy I just don't know.
I stuffed the book back in my pocket turning on my car engine waiting a few seconds before I left in case I would get a goodbye. But no.
Traffic was easy and when I got to the entrance of the airport Liam and Sophia were waiting for me with Gen sitting on top of her suitcase.
"About time you made it!" Gen exclaimed when her eyes met me.
I gave them a soft apologetic smile, "Sorry I'm late"
"It's fine" Liam gave me a hug, "As long as you're ready to meet Gran" he said enthusiastically.
I gave him a small laugh.
We walked to the lady who sat the her desk typing away at her computer. Liam walked up to her giving her our passports.
"5 tickets to Florida correct?" she said looking up at him.
"Five?" I asked counting us all.
Liam continued to talk to the lady not hearing me. I sighed pushing it away from my mind.
I was ready, ready for a long flight to a country with a complete different time zone.

I had fallen asleep on the flight to Florida, so most of it I don't remember but Liam said it was just reruns of the same film on the seat screens and constant snoring from Gen and I.
Now we were getting ready to leave the plane, I grabbed my carry on from the top compartment and adjusted my earphones producing my music following Liam and Sophia to the exit.
"You okay?" Gen asked whilst we walked down the the pathway that connected to plane to the building.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I answered knowing she can see through people's fibs.
She just nodded with a smile continuing to walk.
I knitted my eyebrows going at a faster pace to catch up with the others.
"Vanessa can you go look for our luggage?" Liam asked.
I nodded going to the luggage belt, I tapped my fingers on my thighs to the beat of the song I was listening too.
