"Okay, so I don't really know how to tell you this" I got up from the bed to begin my pacing.

"Just tell me" Harry said, very quickly avoiding my eye contact, "I think I know what it is"

I held my breath to use it for the words I was about to say all at once, "What, what is it?" I asked hearing a knock at the door.

We turned our heads to the source seeing Sophia's head pop through the door.

"Vanessa your brother needs you" she said.

I nodded looking at Harry sentimentally hoping this conversation can wait, I followed Sophia down the stairs.

"You need something?" I asked Liam seeing his leaning against the kitchen counter.

"Uh, yeah" he said scratching the back of his neck, "Johannah needs you and Louis to go pick up Gran's medication"

"Is that all?" I asked feeling a bit disappointed that this is the reason my conversation with Harry had to be put on pause, "Okay, I'll go"

He nodded and smiled, "Just keep in check"

"Why wouldn't I be in check?" I asked him.

He shrugged, "You're a smart girl Vanessa" he said leaving me confused.

I shook my head out of it looking for Louis so we can leave at once.

"Lou-" I began to turn the corner to the laundry room crashing into him making it soft from the pile of clothes in his arms.

I giggled as he passed it into a basket, "You called?" he chuckled swiping his hands on his pants.

"Yeah, we needed to pick up my Gran's medication?"

His face lit up remembering his task, he fumbled around the room looking for his keys, "Yeah, let's go" he said finding them under a shirt.

Louis drove a few blocks away to a small drive-thru pharmacy where we sat in the car waiting.

"You've been acting a bit fidgety lately" he pointed out, "Is something wrong?" he asked.

"No" I breathed out, "It's just stressful, being here. And part of me is kind of wishing maybe it wasn't the best idea for Harry to come here with me"

"Are you two fighting?" he asked.

"No!" I finally snapped, "That's the thing, we're not fighting at all"

"Are you saying you want to fight?" he asked, confusion in his features.

"No, but at least a simple argument. It's just too inordinary for us to be this calm"

Louis looked at me blankly and I could tell he was confused since he obviously doesn't know how Harry and I work.

"I just feel like the universe is holding us back from something so it can slap me in the face out of nowhere"

"Aaah" Louis nodded, "The rubber band effect"

"Exactly" I sighed, "Look at me," I laughed, "Spilling my problems on someone, no offense, who doesn't have enough relationship experience to understand"

"None taken" he snickered, "But I get where you're coming from, when you conceal something so much it will explode"

"Can I tell you the truth?" I asked him.

"Of course"

"I'm scared, Lou. I'm scared for my grandmother, I'm scared of my relationship, and I'm scared of going back home"
