~ Harry's _ POV +
Like I had said before, Ally's dreams come and go in my life. Before I met Vanessa I was fine, before I hooked up with my first girl at the bar I was fine, but now they're shooting me down.
Anyways, today was Josie's last day in Wolverhampton meaning Vanessa was going to try everything for her and I to have, I quote 'the best day ever'. Though a part of me was hoping this little girl would stay longer, but then the other part was looking forward for her not being around.
Josie was a sweet girl, but she kept looking at me as a father figure which sent me off the wire. I wasn't her father, and I'm not her friend. Just an acquaintance, and nothing more. She can't get too attached to me, but then again I keep telling myself that about her.
"Okay, Pepper is outside, I got snacks ready for you two in the fridge, and no popsicles until after lunch" Vanessa told me coming in from the backyard.
"Yes mother" I answered cheekily getting up from the couch.
"Well I wouldn't have to be telling you this if you acted like an actual adult last time" she scolded putting her hands on her hips.
I sighed, "Do you have to go to work?" I asked pouting my lip and wrapping my arms around her waist.
"It's Sunday, I can't just skip work like you do. I'll get fired"
"But that ginger, she likes you"
"And I'd like to keep it that way" she giggled pecking my lips and heading for the door.
"Just one day?" I followed her to the door leaning against the frame with one arm and bringing her to my body with the other.
"No chances lover boy" she giggled as I leaned forward having her bring her hands to the back of my neck and bring her lips to mine.
"Can you come early?"
"No!" she laughed, "I have to go, behave" she gave me one last peck before going out the door.
"Josie's leaving today! You should say goodbye! Anything to keep you here!" I called having her laugh and shake her head.
I exhaled closing the door behind me then heading for the kitchen opening the refrigerator seeing what Vanessa had set for lunch.
The scratching of the screen door caught my attention shifting my eyes to the sliding door connected to the backyard.
"Pepper" I muttered walking over to the now torn screen, "What did you do buddy?" I said sliding open the door and picking him up. I sighed heavily trying to repair what had happened when I heard the doorbell ring.
With Pepper still in my hands and went up the few steps and to the door opening it to Josie and Anna who handed me Josie's pink backpack.
"Be good sweetheart" she smiled to Josie giving her a kiss on the cheek and glancing awkwardly to me, "I'll pick her up in the evening" she told me glancing away from my stare and rushing down our porch steps.
Letting Josie in I put Pepper on the couch with her then leaning down to examine the torn screen.
"What are we doing today?" she asked with Pepper between her arms.
"Going to the repair shop" I said getting up and hoping she was following when I grabbed my car keys.

"Hand me the wrench" I told Josie who was fumbling with the tools in the tool box.
I had been fed up with Pepper scratching at the doors and tearing my shoes, but adding this damn dog door will give him more opportunity outside instead of inside.
