When I'm finished eating Dirk takes me to his room. He helps me undress and tugs one of his own shirts over my head. I'm not much help at all. When I'm finally suitable he leads me to his bed and tucks me in. He crawls over me and wraps his arms around me. Dirk hides his face in my hair and that's how I fall asleep.

I wake up about a hour or two later with a massive headache. I stumble out of bed and to the bathroom. I feel like I should have to throw up but I don't. I sit on the bathroom floor with my back against the tub. I'm sort of thirsty, but I'm too dizzy to stand up. "Dave?"

"Hmm?" Dirk opens the bathroom door and frowns.

"You drank too much huh?"

"Mmhmm." Dirk fills the cup in the sink with water and sits next to me. He hands me the cup, but I can only drink a sip.

"Do you feel like you're going to be sick?"

"A little bit." Dirk smooths my bangs back and kisses my forehead. "I'm sorry I woke you."

"It's fine Dave."

"And I'm sorry-"

"I know, and it's fine. You don't have to apologize all the time."

"I feel like I have to."

"Well, you don't." There's a distance between us, and it's my fault.

"How can I make it up to you?"

"What?"

"The kiss." Dirk sighs and wraps his arm around my shoulders.

"For one you could stop bringing it up."

"Done."

"Then the only other thing you can do is never do it again. I understand ok. I mean you told me before I was your first kiss. It's not like you play around or anything. It was a one time accident. Stop worrying about it."

"But what if you never forgive me and you secretly get more and more pissed off until you explode." Dirk smiles and squeezes my shoulders.

"You're smashed Dave."

"No I'm not." Dirk stands up and opens the medicine cabinet. "What are you doing?"

"Getting you some aspirin."

"Thanks." Dirk hands me two little tablets of aspirin. I swallow them and take some sips of water.

"Ready to go back to bed?" I nod and Dirk takes the water from me. He dumps it out in the sink and sets the cup down before bending down to my level. "Come on." Dirk offers me his hand and I let him pull me up. We walk back into his room and curl up under the covers. I turn toward him and hide my face in his shirt, while his arms hold me tight.

When I wake up several hours later Dirk presents me with breakfast burritos. "They aren't as good as yours, but they're ok."

"I'm sure they're perfect." I take one off the plate offered to me and nibble at it. It's a little too hot, but it's good. I smile at Dirk in approval and he rolls his eyes. He sits next to me and eats the ones he made for himself. I notice he brought me a water instead of an apple juice. I hope we're not out.

When I'm finished eating I lay my head on Dirk's shoulder. He's done soon after me and rest his head on top of mine. "What should we do now?"

"I don't know. What do you want to do?"

"I want to lay in bed all day and stare into you're beautiful red eyes."

"Stop it." My cheeks blush and I look away for a second before meeting his eyes. "I like you're amber eyes too. I think they're better than mine." Dirk smiles softly and kisses my forehead.
