I wake up around one thirty in the morning. I can sleep for such a long time. I bet Dirk woke up and did something or another before coming back. He can't sleep for as long as I can. I start to move and an arm tightens around my waist. I glance over my shoulder in the dark and see Dirk's outline. I pick his arm up and slide out from under it. I tip toe to his door making sure I open and close it quietly. I manage to find a decent show on adult swim and I spend my early morning watching it. When adult swim turns into little kid shows I turn off the TV and head into the kitchen. I make myself a sandwich and then head to my room and turn on my laptop.

While it's turning on I change my clothes and look around my room. I only come in here for clothes and to do school work. My room is getting pretty dusty. I should probably clean it up a bit too. Maybe even do some laundry since I'm up so early. I check my classes and don't see much work so I leave my computer alone and collect clothes, Dirk's too. Then I put them in the washer and start cleaning up my room. I straighten everything out and reorganize as much as I can while I dust. I'm finishing up when the the clothes are done. I put them in the drier and head back to my computer. I start the little bit of school work I was given. I finish it just before the drier goes off. I shut my laptop down and head into the small room next to the bathroom. It's only big enough for the washer and drier.

I go about folding my clothes and putting them in piles. I take them to my room and put them in my dresser before sneaking Dirk's clothes into his room. Afterward I'm left with nothing to do and it's only eight thirty. Now that I'm not working I actually miss it. What can I do now? I could make Dirk breakfast in bed. Yes that's what I'm going to do. I look through the kitchen and find the supplies to make a breakfast burrito. I'll make him two in case he's really hungry. I set about preparing his breakfast and I'm done by nine. I take a plate with both burritos and a glass of orange juice into his bedroom. I set them on the nightstand and reach over to wake Dirk up.

Before I can shake his shoulder he grabs my hand and pulls me into bed with him. "Dirk!" He wraps his arms around me and pulls me as close as he can.

"I'm not letting you escape."

"I don't want to." I squirm around trying to get out of his grip, but I can't. "Dirk I brought you food, wake up."

"I am up."

"Then eat what I brought you."

"I don't want to move. It's too early."

"Why are you so tired?" Dirk squeezes me and I grab at his hands.

"I had a gig. You were sleeping so cutely I couldn't wake you. Why do you always sleep so long."

"Because I can, now let go and eat."

"Fine." Dirk slowly releases me and I hurriedly get away from him. I rub my sides where he wrapped his arms around me before handing him a plate.

"That hurt you know." Dirk rubs his eyes and sits up. He takes the plate and I open the blinds on the far window.

"What hurt?"

"You literally pulled me into bed and tried to squeeze me in half."

"Sorry, sometimes I forget I'm stronger than you." I stick out my tongue and Dirk starts eating. "Mmm, it's good Dave."

"I know, I'm the best at making food."

"You are. Why aren't you eating?"

"I ate earlier." I sit on the edge of the bed and Dirk moves over giving me room to sit next to him.

"Here, have a bite." Dirk holds up one of the breakfast burritos and I take a bite. When I'm done chewing I lean my head against his shoulder. I could've done better, but I also could have done worse. It's not like it taste that bad.
