Dirk's right, we do work through all our differences. After our first year in California we seem to be getting along really well. Not to mention everything is working out great. Not just with our relationship, but with Dixi and Hal.

In the year that we had Dixi she grew huge. When she stands up on her hind legs her head reaches to the top of our refrigerator. Her fur grew out so long too. If she was to lay on top of me, not only would I be smothered to death, but you wouldn't be able to tell anyone is under her. She's about one hundred and fifty pounds. So basically she's the perfect cuddle buddy.

Since I always went to her when I was alone or needed time away from Dirk, her and I have really connected. She follows me around everywhere, and is always waiting for me at the door when I come home. She walks next to me on a leash, while she'll try and pull Dirk. I mean she listens to him, when he's extra serious. But other than that she's fairly aloof with him. I catch them snuggling on the floor sometimes, but Dixi is way more my dog. My fluffy, cuddly, giant dog.

Besides everything going well with Dixi, Hal's been having a great time too. Once Dirk put a camera in him I literally started taking him everywhere. Which means I had to get a lot better about talking to him when I'm in public. I think I've managed pretty well. If I hadn't got the hang of it I wouldn't have been able to keep bringing him to work with me. Sometime I do let a laugh out about something he said though. He's probably the only thing keeping me sane at work. I can see why Andrew acts as crazy as he does.

When I'm not working I still usually have on Hal's shades. He likes to know what's going on, and he especially loves to see Dixi. He's really interested in her and how she acts differently with Dirk and me. Plus I think he just likes looking at her. She is a pretty good looking dog. She still has the coat colors she had when she was a puppy. So maybe she looks a little different from the rest of her breed, but she still looks cool.

Hal and Dirk are also on way better terms. Dirk is even thinking about giving him restricted access to the internet again. Which I'm surprised about, but encouraging. I want Hal to be able to do things that he use to do. And Hal wants to do what he was created for. Learn until there's nothing more to learn. Which will probably never happen, but who am I to crush Hal's dream and purpose.

Especially since he and Dirk are so supportive of mine. I've actually made it to a pretty well known status after my first year in Hollywood. I make quite a lot of money on the movies I direct, which makes me pretty popular among directors. I don't even talk that much shit behind their backs. Probably because of Hal. He makes it easy to deal with them. Which is great because now I'm not going to turn into Andrew. Although I do strive to be more like him. He's basically a legend and I want to be the next big thing following in his footsteps.

It's a good thing Andrew seems to want that too. We talk a lot about the movies we're working on and give each other advice. He even said that to an interviewer. Which sparked even more interest in me. He's really helped me grow and expand my name since I've worked for him. He recommends me to everyone and even throws great ideas at me. I wouldn't quite say he's like the father figure I never had, but I definitely like him better than my actual dad.

Speaking of parents Dirk and I haven't had to make a lot of time to visit them, or for them to visit us. Which is great because there's no easy way to explain why we both use the same bedroom and have a dog together. At least our parents don't seem to notice that we're a little odd for siblings. Our friends don't even suspect anything because we've always been a little odd. Although I am worried about Terezi finding out.

She's pretty nosy and always asking about my boyfriend in Texas. Her favorite question is when she can meet him, followed by when was the last time I even saw him. I'm worried she's going to catch me in this lie. I can't think of what she'd do, if anything at all. I mean Rose was pretty accepting, but then again Rose is her own version of fucked up.

"What are you thinking about?" Dirk asks pulling me against him. We're currently lying in bed, because when we woke up neither of us wanted to get up.

"How great this is."

"Lying in bed?"

"No. This past year with you." Dirk smiles.

"It was nice."

"Great."

"Fine, it was great." I roll over and wrap my arms around Dirk. I look up at him and he smiles at me. "I really love you."

"You better." I crawl up Dirk's chest enough to kiss him on the lips.

"You know what you better do?"

"What?"

"Get up and take Dixi out."

"Damn it." I roll away from Dirk and slide out from under the sheets. I can't help but make a disgusted face as I get up too fast and the realize the air is too cold outside the blankets. I don't like how cold Dirk keeps it in our room. But I guess he does keep me pretty warm under the blankets, so I can sort of see why.

"I'll come with you."

"Good. Jerk." Dirk chuckles at me and scrambles to get out of bed while I go open up Dixi's door. She was waiting right by the door and her tail starts wagging as soon as she sees me. I'd rather keep her in our room at night, but Dirk insisted she not get that attached. Little does he know she sleeps in our bed if he won't be there the whole night.

Dirk and I follow Dixi to the back door and let her out, while we stay just inside. Dirk wraps an arm around me and we watch Dixi run the perimeter of the fence. I couldn't be more happy here with Dirk, and I'm sure the same goes for him.
