It's about three days after running into Andrew at the hospital when I find out he's a match. Andrew calls and tells me and he's so excited. I'm not quite sure why though. By the end of the week he's filled out all the paper work. Our surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and I'm super nervous. Going through surgery while you're half dying is one thing, but willingly being put under is another. I can finally see where my fathers fears came from. But that's not going to stop me.

If I wait much longer Dirk and I will have to stay in Texas longer so I can heal. I just want to get to Hollywood as fast as I can. Andrew already has some jobs lined up and he says I can jump in and help him. He's recommended me to everyone he works with and his next job is willing to hire me too. Of course I'll still be under his supervision, but I'll be getting paid. So slowly by slowly my career is taking off.

Dirk seems to be getting better too. He's not getting that far away look in his eyes as much. I know he's been talking to Rose a lot these past two weeks and I'm glad it's helping him. He even seems more excited to move now too. We've been looking at some houses and apartments. I told him I'm done with a thousand flights of stairs, and he agrees. We've been looking at this one house in partial that meets all of our needs. Granted it's a huge house with a decent sized privacy fenced in yard. It's more than enough really.

From what we've seen online it has a huge entrance that branches off into a living room and a kitchen on the other side. There's a huge staircase that leads upstairs to an office. This office is huge and comes with a balcony. Dirk thinks it was built for a library or party room. Then to the left of the office and over the kitchen is the master bedroom. It comes with a huge walk in closet and beautiful master bathroom. To the right and above the living room is two guest bedrooms and one bathroom shared between them. There's also a half bathroom under the stair case incase we don't want to run up the stairs. Both the kitchen and living room have beautiful French doors that lead out to the yard.

There's a nice patio under the balcony and then a decent sized pool and hot tub. There is a large portion of dark green grass yard mostly to the left of the pool. There's no trees unless the really tall bushes in the front yard count. Well, really there isn't much of a front yard. It's a half circle driveway with a two car garage. There's a short path of stone to the entrance where on either side of the door is two huge bushes that are thin and point at the top. There's a little flower bed on either side of them too, and a small fish pond to the right.

Dirk likes the idea of turning the guest rooms into our own work spaces. We aren't quite sure what to do with the actual office space though. I thought it would make more sense if we actually used the already there office space, but Dirk thinks it's too big and we don't need our offices to lead to the balcony. It would be nice if our bedroom did. I'm not sure how we're going to work it out yet. But that's the house we're looking at.

Dirk's still trying to get me to look at other places, mainly ones with larger yards and further apart houses in the neighborhood. But I'm set on the one we picked out. I think it's perfect. Yeah it's a little big, but it's the one I want. There's only one set of stairs, the kitchen is big, and there's a pool. That's what I wanted. Dirk just wanted space to work more on his robots. So if we leave a room empty, oh well, we might need it one day. I'm sure we'll find a use for it.

"Alright I have to leave." I feel Dirk's lips on my forehead and I smile tilting my head back to look at him expectantly. He rolls his eyes and drops my newly made shades over my eyes. "You seemed pretty zoned out you know?"

"I was thinking about the house again." Dirk smiles and then starts for the door. "About two more weeks Dave."

"I know, I know." Dirk leaves and I tap the side of my shades. "You in there Hal?"
