I have been smiling for you
Dancing for you
Act for you
And these ropes that I hang on are being conducted by youBut now I lay limp
Just a pile of stuffing and string
I tend to cling
So when you say all you want
Is a fling
Im fallingStumbling off this stage
Yet I don't want to turn the page
I want to be your puppet
Please don't drop it
But its hard to beg
When I know you are goneI watch you hide
Gone with the tide
So I will drop dead
Splat on the stage
But
I'm not ready yet
I'll be your marionette
Dont leave out of fear
Be my puppeteerI've expected for you
to drop at my shoes
And when I call
To ease my fall
But you dropped my handle
And litten a candle
Somewhere else
Across the world from meI'd never thought you'd want
to flee
You won't be there to caution me
When I am slipping
When I pretend
Alone on the stage
I stay half alive
Melted onto a ripped pageFor now I must come alive
From this toy state
And act
Like my actions are from within
Because you won't be here
The puppeteer
