Nova's POV

"Don't patronize me exotic eyes. You said that if I went to bed, you'd give me some answers in the morning, and then take me home."

"The answers I give you might change your mind about wanting to leave."

"I doubt that." I falsely smiled at him, nodding my head.

"Tell me, my beautiful catastrophic explosion.."

Excuse me? Your what?

"Do you feel anything.. strange when you look at me?"

"What the hell are you talking about?"

Maybe, but that's none of your business.

"Do you feel anything when I'm near you?" He stepped closer to me and I balled my hand into a fist, ready to swing if I needed to.

I felt a shock of pain.

Dammit, still hurts from the last time I hit him.

"You have to tell me what you're on, I might try it sometime." I backed away from him before he was able to touch me.

"Then you'll really think I'm on something when I tell you about us, these trees, and my eyes." He chuckled.

"There is no us. I still stand on my remark about these trees being stupid. And your eyes are weird and exotic, but not in a good way. In a more.. keep away, I look like a demon sort of way."

I nodded, reassuring my words.

He seemed to grow irritated.

"What's wrong? Too-"

A deep growl rumbled at the base of his chest and it shut me up immediately.

Ho..ly.. shit.

His pale brown eyes reflecting as they bore holes through my own deep blue ones. And I found myself staring into the one with green around the iris.

What the hell is up with this guy's eyes?

"Just.. just take me home now."

I walked away, retrieving my jacket and boots that had mysteriously been placed by my folded laundry when I had woke up this morning.

"You never answered any of my questions."

"You never answered any of mine." I snapped, lacing my combat boots and sliding on my jacket.

"You were looking for the keys last night?"

"Mhm." I said, finger-combing my hair to put into a ponytail, not looking at him.

"You were going to steal my car?"

"Of course I was." I felt his gaze on the back of my head, I could feel him coming towards me.

I turned around quickly, "Look. If I were you, I'd stay back. I don't want you near me and after you take me home, I don't want anything else to do with you."

He smiled, acting as if he were completely okay with my words. Though something was telling me that my words wouldn't be the last to end this argument.

"I'll take you home Nova. But you'll be back. And even while you're away, you'll be thinking of me. I guarantee it."

I leaned the upper half of my body closer to him, "I think I like you better tall, dark and nonchalant."
