His lips were like fire to mine, starting a flame at my lips and burning all the way to my core.
It heated every part of me, inside and out, leaving no part of me chilled.
It was soft and slow, then a hand slid behind the back of my neck and I felt the weight of his body over mine.
The kiss quickened, but not once was it sloppy. He moved with ease, keeping majority of his weight off of me, yet letting a hand trace my heated skin softly.
Goosebumps quickly formed in their place. It was passionate, the way his lips took over mine after a second, though I could feel the dominance in it.
He couldn't help it, but I wasn't complaining.
I needed to let myself enjoy this. To not be in control for once and let him have the power over this kiss.
My hands found their way in his hair and it was just as silky as I imagined it to be, if not more.
I moaned in delight to that.
His skin against mine was another feeling in itself, twisting knots in my stomach and giving me butterflies.
One moment my heart felt like it was going to stop, then the next I felt like it was going to beat so fast that it'd burst from my chest.
Grey wasn't my first kiss, hell, not even my second. But his kiss was the only one that seemed to matter, the only one I could remember, the only one that ever made me feel like this.
This feeling I would've remembered.
I was grateful he didn't push to go any further, though he let me explore each dip and bulge in his muscles.
Other bulges would have to stay elsewhere tonight.
Grey was a gorgeous man. Like all men, he had his flaws- some more severe than others- but all in all, he was a good man inside and out.
The way he spoke of his pack, here and there about his family, and about hopefully passing the line down to one of his own one day, showed me how much it all meant to him.
In the beginning, I'd thought he was just some nonchalant asshole who didn't have a care in the world.. well, he is.. just not in the way I'd thought.
There was so much more to him. So much more than the mask he put on, that he had to offer. And out of all people, he was offering it all to me.
He was offering himself to me.
I was being selfish. I wasn't the only one who had to give up loneliness. I wasn't the only one needing to make sacrifices to move on with their lives.
With life comes change.
And it was time for one. For the both of us. I guess that's how I keep managing to find myself here. In the bed of Alpha Greyden Krem.
That morning, I woke up happy that my hip wasn't in too much pain. It was pain that I could ignore without a second thought.
As per usual, Grey wasn't in bed. Though I was happy he did get some sleep in, even if it wasn't as long as I'd hoped.
I looked over at the clock. 10:48 AM.
"Peeeeerfect." I grumbled, getting out of bed and walking over to the bathroom.
Hearing my stomach grumble, as always, I made my shower quick.
Stupid wolf boy didn't feed me earlier.
I pouted making my way to the kitchen, happy to see Grey, but mood quickly ruined when I seen the one and only.. Ginger Lewinsky.
What the hell is she doing here?
"Morning pet, I didn't expect you to be out of bed."
"How would you know, it's not like you two.."
The realization slapped her in the face harder than I would have.
And away she went.
Bye bye.
I waved.
"Why'd you have the devil in your presence?"
He laughed, walking over to me. "Good morning, Supernova." He kissed my brow. "What will it be today?"
"Anymore of those Hawaiian mini pizza thingys?"
"Afraid the rest of those were given to my shirt."
"Ah, sorry about that." I walked over to the stool and sat down at the bar as he prepped whatever he decided to make for me.
"I have a surprise for you today."
"You have me interested."
"I'll show you them after you eat breakfast and get dressed."
We both looked down at his light blue dress shirt that fit like a dress on me.
"You don't like?" I twirled around.
"Oh, I do." He turned to face me. "But for my eyes only."
I shook my head, scoffing. "Are you always this smooth?"
"I've been told in my time that I have a way with words."
"You won't have any teeth in your mouth to speak those words if you continue on."
He chuckled, setting breakfast in front of me.
"You sure are fancy in the kitchen huh?"
"I've learned a few things here and there from my mother."
"I have to say, if you learned this from your mother, she has a strange cookbook. But I will admit, I have yet to be disappointed."
"Nova, I don't think anything you eat could disappoint you."
"I beg to differ."
"Oh? What doesn't satisfy you're appetite, pet? I must know."
"I hate spaghetti. I will send you to hell myself if you ever make me spaghetti."
"Of all things." He laughed. "Eat, pet. We have things to do today."
"I like that. We. It's much better than you going off and leaving me by myself to get into things."
"And into fights with my workers?"
"Hey, don't go pointing fingers at me when ginger started it."
"She's jealous, Nova. You have what she doesn't. You have nothing to fight for, not when it's already yours."
"Alright lover boy, let me eat in peace and then I'll get ready for my surprise. Well, surprises. You said them right? More than one?"
"Eat and you shall see." He said in an annoying, teasing tone.
"Eat and you shall get my foot in your ass." I mocked his tone, rolling my eyes.
"I'll be back. Some things to grab from my study and I should be done after you've dressed."
"And you leave me hanging again, exotic eyes. What's the rush?"
"Just-"
"Let me guess, business I shouldn't worry my pretty little head about."
"Exactly." He kissed my forehead and left the kitchen.
"Guess it's just me and my one true love." I smiled, picking up my fork and shoving my face. "Food."
